I am so blessed Not more, or less, than anyone else But what I have and get to experience is more than I ever expected So bring me all the challenges, the frustrations and trials the market can bring Every trial is a blessing, every gift is a lesson

From new traders to veteran traders who at least appear successful online, I notice a common theme: a search for validation or even purpose. I remember standing in the pit watching others make millions while I was broke. Later, I moved to the screen and felt like I was the only one struggling as I scrolled through social media. Over time, health issues forced me into deeper introspection about the meaning of my life, and everything began to shift. Clarity came. I had always been a positive person, but I became even more so. I learned to see success in others no matter how they achieved it, not as a threat but as a learning moment. That was when I became a student of life, a promoter of life, focused on doing good for myself and for others. Whether you have already found success or are still searching for your definition of it, remember this: your growth and the way you carry yourself in the world is all the validation you will ever need. The greatest secret behind any success I have had is that I genuinely cheer for others, and I know who I am and why I do what I do for my family, my friends, and myself. Spend time discovering who you are and what truly feeds you. That is where discipline comes from. That is what keeps you on the path in both business and life that leads to real success.

@Book_of_Job Thanks so much! Today was much different not a lot of opportunity for me and frustrating way sized down and had to walk away from the screens at one point. Wild how some days are so different from each other. Hope NQ was good to you!

Am I f*ing proud of today? Yup Ego? Sure I'm human But over a month of my old income today w key process 💡 (+maybe spark imagination for your own) Have I made more with less intention but not repeatable? Yup Did this day come w out prep? Nope Finished Dalton's latest book Markets and Momentum last weekend as a build upon Mind Over Markets (and a journal full of notes that I have used to build my process over the last year and a half in addition to learning to read orderflow/use anchored vwaps). A moderate (hopefully one day mastered) understanding of auction market theory, a beginner's but solid foundation in ordeflow/dom, studying, intention, notes, forming a daily plan. These are my biggest days. Days I don't prep could be some of (in hindsight) the easiest price action but I don't perform well.. it's quite amazing how hard I can press when I have formed a plan and feel conviction, and step back for a min and DON'T press when I am confused. These two general areas of control have helped me be profitable enough to sustain my income and freedom. Higher timeframe analysis and small timeframe entry isn't for everyone, but if you identify with this kind of process give auction market theory and orderflow a try.. learn how markets MOVE. I have attached a few highlights from the book that are far from all inclusive but I felt were thought provoking and meaningful with today's price action if you're interested in a book or two that could supplement your process. Put in the time, the work, effort, patience, reps. Every layer of understanding you build forms a better peripheral vision of the market in real time to adapt and manage cognitive dissonance price action will inevitably display.

We all need to rise in protest against the fact that donut shops cut holes out of our donuts and then charge us separately for the hole they took away from us.

@JDadastra Such a good point, difference between never giving up digging a hole deeper and never giving up and implementing what you've outlined. Well said.

You hear things like: "Just never give up and you will find success" In many cases in life, fitness, many careers, this can be true. But the reality is not necessarily like this in trading. You can never give up - but keep repeating the same habits that hold you back - and spin your wheels indefinitely. It's only when you find and implement positive expectancy habits - then never give up - then statistically can find yourself making money For example, I took 3 paper cuts trying to catch this short. Respected my stops swiftly, didn't tilt, or revenge leverage. Then caught it, made back the paper cuts and more. Had I not respected the habits that keep me grounded in success I probably would not have even had the ability to catch the winning trade because the account would be gone or losses too large. 🥊You're in a boxing match. You will take the hits, but make sure you are able to stay in the ring for the late rounds where you can land the big punch.

@XennialTrader It sure is, it's a make it or break it for me usually regarding size. I am very aware that I'm still at the stage where I have to be very very intentional most days. I'll have to look at the ES chart when I do prep tomorrow I know they've been a little out of sync lately!

@_NurseG_ I read this and said, "wtf, someone had a stellar day?" Then I realized you were on NQ. ES such a mixed bag with dispersion across equities. Thank you for highlighting that preparation is the anchor of conviction. Without prep it's difficult to have the conviction to size up.

hmmm also of note, what kept me going long was the non-exhaustive look / poor high whatever you want to call it on the session VP / candles until eod. "Everything is a series of facts surrounded by other circumstances"
