I had the honor of representing at the Inter-University Symposium on Pan Africanism and Reparatory Justice, held at Makerere University yesterday. Drawing from my studies from jurisprudence, I made a case that it is the long-overdue acknowledgment that African suffering was not incidental, but engineered. Therefore, its redress must be equally deliberate. In my message, I emphasized that African intellectualism must be urgently mobilized in defence of African dignity. The question of reparations is philosophical, constitutional, and moral. I continue to believe that we owe it to the child born today on this continent to think boldly, speak clearly, and act with the full weight of our intellectual inheritance.

I represented UNSA, @unsaugofficial (Uganda National Students Association) in the Youth Mock Parliament on Menstrual Hygiene Management in Uganda. I moved two motions: 1. A resolution to urge government to increase national budgetary allocation towards menstrual health products and services in communities and schools. 2. A resolution calling for full implementation of existing menstrual health policies, guidelines, and commitments in Uganda. The Association takes mental hygiene as a human rights issue, and it should concern us all. #YouthMockParliament
