this is genuinely how it felt reading this article. but you know what I realised about people loving to waste time on configuration is that they are missing a purpose behind their work. I believe we all have the same 24 hours in a day so the only differentiating factor are the goals we’ve set to achieve.

I'm convinced that a large % of construction workers don’t actually like building stuff. As a side effect, they also perfectly happy to throw away their craft to a power tool as soon as they can. I don’t get it, at ALL. Don't you *LIKE* understanding the magic of the hammer? You do realize hand-building houses (I hate that I even have to specify hand now) is fun…right?

same for me the only interaction I have with windows is to play games like you mentioned above or browse the internet. WSL comes with its own issues too but I think it is a breath of fresh air for windows users that want a dev environment. I notice by time it gets only slower and CPU is being overworked for absolutely no reason.

@abusarah_tech How so? Honestly. So I've been using windows for about a year now. But the way I use it is I'm 100% in WSL. So Windows is basically a Linux windows manager for me.

Windows is such an enigma. You don't realize how fascinated I am by it. I think partially it's because I don't play games. So until recently I haven't really seen Windows for like 20 years. And everyone has these strong opinions because they interact with it somehow but I haven't. And I find it so fascinating because it makes no sense to me. And I want to understand more. I'm old enough to understand that there are good reasons why seemingly terrible things were created. And that those terrible things are in fact actually not that terrible.
