Taiwan will skip a WTO ministerial meeting next week, unhappy at host Cameroon's response to its protest over being labeled a province of China on visa documents.

A former Ghanaian MP, after driving through 21 African nations, cited Cameroon🇨🇲 as the most PRIMITIVE passage. This renews Ambazonians criticism of the 1961 union with savages and calls for the #freedom of the #SouthernCameroons (Ambazonia). @SenateGOP @WhiteHouse @StateDept

President Biya continues to suppress dissidents in Cameroon through arrest and arbitrary detention. Tsi Conrad, a journalist who reported on state abuses in the Anglophone regions, has been arbitrarily detained for 9 years. Last week, opposition leader Anicet Ekane died in military detention, where he’d been since his arrest after the October 12 sham elections. This is unacceptable.

@BourdonWilliam2, as you ponder why #HumanRights abuses in🇨🇲consistently go unnoticed by the Int'l community, know that CORRUPTION under PaulBiya's regime is a key reason. U & #JulieJukic must bear this in mind when embarking on the #AnicetEkane case. Good luck! @anticor_org

Very disappointed to see US Embassy Yaoundé send congratulations to Cameroon Govt. Of course, reading between the lines I note the congratulations to Biya was on his inauguration not "election." I can't imagine anyone calling it an election! A joke! x.com/USEmbYaounde/s…

The corrupt Biya regime in Cameroon hunts its political opponents, enables Wagner’s illicit activities, and has created conditions for jihadist groups like Boko Haram and ISIS to thrive and fuel the Anglophone crisis. The regime has staged a sham re-election, and unlawfully detained Americans citizens, including those from Idaho. Cameroon is not a U.S. partner, and poses economic and security risks to the American people. It’s time to reassess this relationship before the blowback gets worse.

BREAKING: Tchiroma Says Ministers Have Called to Congratulate Him Presidential candidate Issa Tchiroma Bakary says Ministers and members of government have called to express their support after he claimed victory in the just-ended presidential election. Full Statement: “My dear compatriots, “I want to thank, from the bottom of my heart, the ministers and members of government who have personally called me in recent days to express their support. The time is no longer for pretenses or calculations: when the stakes for our country and for national peace are this crucial, everyone must choose their side—and many have already done so. “I also thank certain members of the High Command and our Armed Forces who, with responsibility and clarity, have made me aware of their determination not to betray their primary mission: protecting the people.
