Atiku Will Become Another Abraham Lincoln In 1832, Abraham Lincoln lost his first political election when he contested for the Illinois State Legislature. In 1838, he lost his bid to become Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives, a position decided by lawmakers’ votes. In 1843, he lost the Whig Party nomination for the U.S. Congress. In 1848, he failed to secure re-election to continue serving in the U.S. Congress. In 1854, he lost the U.S. Senate election after Democrats and anti-Nebraska Act Whigs united against him. In 1856, he lost at the Republican National Convention while seeking the vice-presidential nomination. In 1858, he again lost the U.S. Senate election after the famous Lincoln-Douglas debates. But on November 6, 1860, Abraham Lincoln won the U.S. presidential election, and on March 4, 1861, he was sworn in as the 16th President of the United States. Over the past 30 years, Atiku Abubakar has contested for Nigeria’s presidency six times — in 1993, 2007, 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023 — but God has not granted him victory yet. However, many continue to believe in him because of his vision for national unity, security, education, economic recovery, and proper management of mineral resources. Now that he has won the ADC presidential primary, we pray that Allah grants him victory in the 2027 election if we live to witness it. Our hope is for a just change and a stronger democracy. With this, I once again call on Nigerians to support Atiku Abubakar — not because he is the most perfect candidate, but because of his commitment to one united Nigeria, his non-tribal approach to leadership, and his well-structured plans and policies if given the opportunity to serve after winning the election.

@DokunOjomo @Rothamhouse Southwest are more politically balance, they can't completely put 100% votes to Tinubu as the Southeast did in 2023. That is not good for perceived minority in terms of votes.

A few minutes ago, we began informing key members of the @StateDept that former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar (@atiku) has secured the nomination of the African Democratic Congress (@ADCNig) to serve as its presidential candidate in #Nigeria’s upcoming presidential election. Tomorrow, we will begin informing key members of the Executive Office of the President of the United States (@WhiteHouse), the Office of the Vice President (@JDVance), and members of Congress about this important development in U.S.-Nigeria relations. We have already extended our heartfelt congratulations to former Vice President #Atiku on his nomination and look forward to engaging stakeholders in the United States on the importance of democratic governance, election integrity, and stronger U.S.-Nigeria relations. @realDonaldTrump @SusieWiles47 @WhiteHouse @HouseForeignGOP @HouseForeign @SFRCdems @SecRubio @StateDept @AsstSecStateAF @SenateForeign @NGRPresident @HouseNGR @NGRSenate @CNNAfrica @BBCAfrica @Reuters @Atiku @officialABAT @AFP @ForeignPolicy @inecnigeria @SenTedCruz @RepBrianMast @SusieWiles
