When @MakersPlace closed, we gave users a mass transfer tool & paid gas fees. Allowed months to transfer. Partnered so artwork worked even if on our servers & could be retrieved even after shutdown. It took 10 months to do it right. @niftygateway is doing none of this………..

digital art storage i strongly suggest that the largest platforms @artblocks_io @fellowshiptrust @verse_works @solos_gallery @miminguyenmimi @heft_gallery @FeralFile @TransientLabs @objktcom (yes, tezos) come together and form a consortium to establish shared best practices for digital art storage across ethereum, ipfs, arweave, and related systems. aligning on standards, redundancy, and long-term backup would materially strengthen the ecosystem. i also suggest bringing @artnome on as a consulting partner. please guys, just do this. i know some of you are ahead on this, but having standards across would make the entire ecosystem much stronger. thank you! 🤍

how do you all think i should handle the ai comments moving forward. if someone comments it and nothing is said to correct it people will assume they are right. if i correct every message its annoying to myself and everyone else. it’s pretty detrimental though.

GM Yesterday, I was part of a team that filed the first appellate brief regarding AI and copyright on behalf of AI developer @ROSSIntel. From the moment I started working with ROSS in May 2020 (when the lawsuit was filed), I knew this would be an important case that would have important implications for access to law and AI innovation. I was part of an incredible team of lawyers at @pillsburylaw and @WhiteCase who worked long hours on a first of its kind brief not only for the client, but also for AI Innovation in the US. As @edleeprof stated, "The Third Circuit becomes the most important federal court in AI litigation as ROSS Intelligence filed its opening brief in its appeal in Thomson Reuters v. ROSS Intelligence. Fair use in AI training is one of two issues. The other is the copyrightability of Westlaw headnotes to judicial opinions." Link to the brief below.👇
