I disagree. If people were so alienated, factory farms wouldn't fight the factories being recorded as hard as they do. I think merely having infomercials about what factory farming looks like in practice would do much to generate opposition for it. But, the financial incentives are for the system to stay as it is.

I'm for ending supply chain monopolies and breaking up the multinationals that own all the brands. I'm for bringing back family farms, point of origin labeling, regenerative farming, etc. As is, I have few options of grocers that sell regionally produced meats. And I can't afford $30+/lb for beef (my preferred protein). Regulation has made ethical foods cost prohibitive. Organic is more expensive because of the requirements put in place to wear the label.

Look at what you are doing to the poor animals every time you eat factory farmed meat.

Out of all of the lies these people tell, the most egregious has to be that they "do the jobs no one else wants to do." They are basically trying to convince you of the bullshit line they tell the government when they're applying to get work visas for their friends and family. Anyone who has had any recent interaction with them knows that the "jobs" they are referring to are almost uniformly customer service and fast food service positions that used to be the go-to for teens and young adults. And they took these jobs not because there was suddenly a shortage of kids who wanted to flip burgers after school for pocket change, but because one of them slithered into a managerial role and then either prioritized hiring their own or completely hid the job openings from anyone else. They have scammed their way into a fabricated employee shortage, and are now demanding praise for "solving" this "problem."
