@ReichlinMelnick Asylum applicants can still assert asylum as a relief application against deportation with EOIR. So while this is a crappy rule it correct to say they will never get a chance to argue their case. Of course, getting a fair adjudication with EOIR is, er, increasingly unlikely

The full regulation is here. It goes into effect tomorrow, with no prior notice to the public (something which will likely be raised in any lawsuit challenging the rule). NEW: The Trump admin just published a new regulation allowing asylum officers at @USCIS to deny hundreds of thousands of applications without an interview, sending applicants directly to deportation proceedings. This means many people will never get a chance to argue their case.

I cancelled all of my policies with @allstate prior to renewal and now that have sent me to collections for the unpaid premium on a cancelled umbrella policy. Let's f*cking have a go then Allstate.

I just finished reading Clarence Thomas's dissent.  I encourage you to do the same.  If you take the time to read Roberts's opinion and compare it to Thomas's dissent, Thomas completely outclasses Roberts.  His is a step-by-step history and constitutional lessen that brilliantly and methodically unravels every aspect of Roberts's argument.
