Hackney still has one of the highest rates of child poverty in the country. And the local Labour Party used the Levelling Up Fund to make a “linear park” on Amhurst Rd. Very expensive paving stones benefit just whom? theguardian.com/society/2026/m…

The polls predict that May's local elections will be unlike any previous ones. Your vote will really count.

.@TransportForAll what did you say & recommend to theDfT about the floating bus stop guidance please. Blind people are being discriminated against & we cannot understand how this guidance was published as it is. It solves none of the safety or accessibility concerns raised?
NFBUK@NFBUK

Well done to our fantastic team who handed an updated petition into @Heidi_Labour on International White Cane Day following @LordPeterHendy unacceptable response to Lord Snapes & Lord Holmes concerns raised in @UKHouseofLords debate on Bus Services (No2) Bill on 13th October 2025

Increased congestion upon residents and school children in the Bowes ward was called a success by @haringeycouncil and @JourneysPlaces ….. this residential road now takes more passing cars at peak times than an A road. Cycling groups believe harming kids here with relocation of traffic in the name of cycling is just a minor inconvenience….

This was yesterday evening walking from Dalston Junction. Horrible atmosphere since LTNs. The Green Party mayoral candidate represents this ward. What is @ZoeGarbett ‘s plan for Dalston Lane, Graham Rd and Balls Pond Rd?

Hey @willnorman, Instead of blocking me why not explain how you spent a £Billion on cycle tracks and 2025 will have a record number of serious injuries and the risk of getting seriously injured is rising!

Bus speeds continue to decline with LTN boroughs having some of the slowest bus speeds in London. Labour councils who stated LTNs reduced congestion continue to mislead residents. Islington, Haringey, Lambeth and Waltham Forest lead the way with terrible bus speeds. All data available on tfl website. Remember bus speeds are far worse outside LTNs wich are not shown here. Sit on the bus and all is clear.

Did you know Enfield council increased congestion and harm upon women, children and families here outside the LTNs and called it a success..... this data excludes slow moving vehicles so is far greater. Enfield Labour have smashed in 9 million pounds income in fines. Increased harm on kids here is just a minor inconvenience. @JourneysPlaces #enfield #labour #manufacturedcongestion #Itn

Prioritising cyclists speed & convenience over pedestrians and bus users safety has resulted in everyday people distancing themselves from the cycle lobby and turning away from cycling. #DeclineInCycling #FloatingBusStops #LTNs

Important article in the Telegraph on how LTNs other traffic restriction are having an adverse impact on London's cabbies: "for black cab drivers increasingly congested, slow and difficult-to-navigate roads are leading to a significant loss of earnings" telegraph.co.uk/gift/29ff0c669…

@LJRyder16 @BristolCouncil @TristanCorkPost @adam_ldr @BristolLive @BBCBristol @itvwestcountry @bristol247 @melimoonshine @bristol_citizen Bristol Council will not fare well in court, as unable to show LTNs reduce car use. LTNs increase vehicle miles driven and congestion resulting in more NO2, CO2 & PM2.5 emissions. LTNs are not climate friendly nor beneficial for public health but councils make £millions in fines.

I predict London will continue to have the most congested streets in Europe (costing business billions each year), some of the highest fares in Europe, average bus speeds barely reaching 9mph......and you want to widen cycle lanes.
Bob From Accounts 🚲@BobFromAccounts

At the current rate, I predict this summer will surpass all records for cycling in London; it seems we will need bigger and better bike lanes @MayorofLondon @willnorman. Please note the lack of Lycra.

@bbcworldservice It would be good if the bus pulled up to the kerb so passengers did not have to cross a cycle lane to get on and off a bus as stated in British Standard 8300-1 2018 ‘Design of an accessible and inclusive built environment’. This is shockingly bad in Waltham Forest in London.
NFBUK@NFBUK

.@LordPeterHendy @Heidi_Labour this is terrifying for any pedestrian. @danielmgmoylan @LordChrisHolmes please ask Lord Hendy when does he expect floating bus stops like these in Waltham Forest to be removed?
