@Alliestrasza This sounds oddly targeted towards you. Though, I haven't seen the lengths scammers are willing to go nowadays. Stay safe!

Update - Mason just told me that he got a butt dial call from my number ONE MINUTE before I got the scam call... to which he answered, "Hello? Hello? Allie?" So they spoofed his voice within 60 seconds… They must be straight churninggg through these calls if they can do it that fast Don’t fall for it, folks. Code words. 🫡
Alliestrasza@Alliestrasza

Scammers mannn 😔 I get a call from Mason’s # with him crying in his voice and then a guy comes on threatening to shoot him unless I Paypal him… I didn’t think it was real, but sheesh it still makes your heart sink I wonder how many people they get with this stuff

@Avamander @mycoliza not every system in the world has a full set of bash + bash completion utilities my guy. Some don't have auto completion at all. Just cause it's easy for you doesn't mean it's the same everywhere.

linux's "consistent network interface naming" is like, probably a good thing, or whatever, but every time i see "enp195s0f3u1u4u3", i wonder if i'm having a stroke

@martinwoodward @aidenybai Shipping a fix for this in under 12 hrs is insanely impressive considering the scale Github is operating at. Would you consider publishing a blog post about the internals of this change and how it came about so quickly?

Done some fixes around this recently, do you want to re-check to see if you see improvements? Current code is working around some back-end scalability constraints which is why it's implemented as it is, but team found some optimisations that could make regardless. Thanks for the heads up.

Dear Community, I want to start by sincerely apologizing for the unintended breach of privacy and security that occurred recently. It has come to my attention that in my pursuit of a project, I inadvertently exposed sensitive information—namely, everyone’s SSN numbers. This is something I take full responsibility for, and I deeply regret the consequences it has caused. When I began working on this project, my intentions were purely academic and exploratory. However, I now realize that my actions, regardless of intention, have had a far-reaching and negative impact on countless individuals. Your trust and privacy are important, and I understand that I have failed you in this regard. There is no excuse for this oversight, and I am committed to making things right. After much thought and consideration, I have decided that transparency is the best course of action moving forward. Therefore, I am releasing the complete source code that was used to obtain everyone’s SSN numbers. I know this might seem counterintuitive, but I believe that full disclosure is essential in allowing others to understand exactly what happened, how it happened, and to prevent this from occurring again in the future. I understand that this may not be the resolution everyone was hoping for, but I am confident that by being fully transparent, the community can learn from this incident. My hope is that the release of this code will also spark a conversation about better practices, more secure methodologies, and an overall awareness of the importance of protecting our digital identities. I want to reiterate how sorry I am for any distress or inconvenience this has caused. I am working hard to ensure that I never make such a mistake again. Thank you for your understanding and for holding me accountable. Sincerely, PatrickJS github.com/PatrickJS/ever…

Remember when Google made Inbox—one of the best email apps ever—and then killed it because they didn’t want to spend the resources as one of the world’s richest companies to co-develop two email apps? So they just took like 30% of the feature-set and lazily jammed it into Gmail?

Your actual skill is not determined by how good of a code you can write. But by how shitty of a code you can read.

In VS @code, is there a shortcut to select multiple lines and update a number incrementally in one go? So... person1 person1 person1 should become... person1 person2 person3
