Beautiful spring Saturday on west side of Prospect Park. Lots of people walking and driving. Bike lanes almost completely empty. @openplans @transalt should be pushing for year-round dining in these chronically underutilized public spaces.

It’s awful that so much space on the streets in major cities is dedicated to car storage.

INSIGHT: What working for Elon is actually like.

🚨 JUST IN: Stephen Miller lays it out PERFECTLY Imagine a "native Minnesotan who works as a lineman...worried about his ability to support for and provide his family." "And then imagine that he has a neighbor who's a SOMALI REFUGEE who arrived two years ago and has a Mercedes and NO financial stress and no worries at all in the entire world and never seems to ever go to work at all because he just went to an office in the state, lied on a piece of paper, and got unlimited free money forever for life!" "THAT is the system that is being run and that is the corruption that this task force under the leadership of the Vice President is going to demolish." @StephenM

Q: Where should the the world invest in America right now? TRUMP: The one that they're crazy about is AI. I see some of these guys come into my office, they're wearing a t shirt and they're 24 years old. 'Dad, he's got a net worth of $24b.' I said, 'You gotta be kidding.' So if you want to say one thing, AI, and just hope that it works. You better hope!

New Yorkers, join us in the first ever Mayor’s Municipal Madness: a competition of city fixes where everyone wins. City workers fix thousands of tiny annoyances every year, from broken basketball rims to bike path bumps. This year, we’re highlighting 16 of those fixes. From the exacerbating eight to the frustrating four, every item in each round will be repaired…but you’ll be voting on which fix will be done by me on day 100 of our admin. Round one of voting starts right now: nyc.gov/madness

I got a call from the White House after this hit on Jesse Waters’ Fox News show last night about the fraud in California. There is a reason Gavin Newsom looks so terrified right now. He should be. Buckle up. The fraud investigation is about to get insane. Starting this week…

@JulieChangRE @JoshInEncinitas Overheard two young men going on a skiing vacation. Neither took time off of “work” for their flight & the one said he was “working” throughout the whole trip & wasn’t using any vacation days. 😵💫 UBI in full effect apparently for some.

Every time I listen to Trump spewing nonsensical inanities I’m reminded that Americans elected him not once but twice in free and fair elections. They knew exactly what was on offer and embraced it. Twice.

In 2018, Peter Thiel said California is “close to bankrupt” and will likely “go broke” in the next recession: “We have this incredible tech thing in Silicon Valley.” “If you go just to the East Bay, across the Bay Bridge or Dumbarton Bridge—you're basically in a failing state.”

Palantir CEO Alex Karp on how superintelligence and neurodivergence affect the working class in the age of AI: “I believe the working class person in this country has not been treated with the respect, decency, concern or empathy that he or she deserves.” “Most of my politics are still—my concern about open borders, about evisceration of education, now AI, actually go back to—will this be good for the average American worker?” “Not just for moral reasons, but that's how you stabilize a nation.” “Any time until superintelligence, which I think will take a while—trained workers, who have some kind of vocational hands-on role, I think will do very well.” “Anyone who's kind of neurodivergent or viewed as crazy, I think will do also very well.” “There's gonna be a lot of pressure on highly educated non-vocational workers, especially those that don't have some kind of neurodivergence or something that you can't just replicate.“ With Teamsters President Sean O’Brien

@JulieChangRE Medical staff, EMS, teachers & police officers are still paid wages that barely cover a $300k house. They were once able to afford that home in Brooklyn that’s now $3.5mm. Shame.
