one of the best sales advice we got back in YC was the "daily war room": every day for 15 minutes, the CEO + the entire sales + growth team come together in one room they go through every open deal and ask one question: "what was the last touch, and what do we do next?" there are no stupid questions or status updates, just going through the top deals on that day and answering these 2 questions / figuring out what the next move is even if you are a solo founder, you should probably have a daily war room a lot of deals closed because someone in the room said "wait, have you tried looping in their CFO? I know x that can intro us here to push the deal forward" and you did it that afternoon

Sad to say no Jeff Bezos sighting during the parade as he didn’t walk w his 1986 40 year reunion class (he was seen last night apparently). Princeton reunions I have to say was impressive despite the rain. Energy was incredible and everybody was having a blast. Wife thinks I’m a complete clown lol so she found it hilarious how warm and friendly @OneManLBO and his friends were towards me. I feel the need to take the family to Brown reunions sometime in the next few years now. x.com/blueprintsmb22…

Coffee w the wife and daughter at the Graduate hotel in Princeton on Chambers street today. Woke up early to turn on factory and gave marching orders to the team before leaving at 6 to pick up my family for the hour drive to Princeton to hang out with @OneManLBO and his family. The future leaders of the world are graduating this weekend at Princeton trying to navigate an uncertain white collar job market given AI. I just hope I can make payroll and ship physical product on time the next 4 weeks. Traded texts with @RandBusiness on the drive in about the SMB manufacturing world which seems cautiously optimistic after a crap operating environment the last few years. It’s hilarious how I’m spending my time when the pace of technology innovation with AI has never been faster with the world spending time trying to figure out who the winners and losers are.

Too many companies care more about themselves than their users. Today, we are making Opendoor available to all homeowners, including the ones that want to work with agents. Launching Opendoor 2.0 for Agents, first with @RealScout.

At our city-owned grocery stores, staples like eggs and bread will actually be affordable. And we're going to do it the right way, without cutting workers' pay or dignity. Because in the wealthiest city in this country, buying groceries shouldn't be an unsolvable equation. It should be simple, fair, and within reach for everyone.

Just so we're clear, Israel is now the first state to have an ethnicity-based death penalty since Nazi Germany.

Was hoping this photo was not real. Sadly it is. This is the Deputy Speaker of the Knesset dressed up as "Death Penalty", holding a hanging noose. Her settler husband is holding a prop gun labeled "Occupation," an airplane labeled "Expulsion," and a house labeled "Settlement."

🚨Israel just passed the death penalty law against Palestinians & non-Jews only. This is how the deputy head of Israel’s parliament celebrated with her settler husband celebrated recently.

The bill has been approved. Israeli prisons will turn into guillotines for Palestinians. Hundreds will be executed in the next few weeks. 9300 hostages now in Israeli custody. Dark day for humanity. Unforgettable memory in the Palestinian cause history.

The Israeli government is about to pass a law mandating the death penalty, only for Palestinian prisoners. Mass execution by hanging, solely on racial lines. This is apartheid and the next step in the genocide of Palestinians, already systematically tortured in Israeli prisons.

To book a cross-country move, you need to go to a website like this and get inundated with hundreds of cold calls from desperate movers. Basically no different than a decade ago. Can a real software company please attack this problem? I just want an app. Please and thank you.

Standing ovation. Bravo @Cornell + @cornell_tech + President Michael Kotlikoff for principled moral leadership for "fully and forecfully rejecting this" and not pandering to protestors. An undergrad student Yasmeen Masoud '28 (working in postcolonial and minority literary studies) politically targeted Israel in a student assembly movement demanding Cornell Tech (named for Technion) sever ties because...Israel. "I am deeply troubled by the selective manner in which this resolution singles out the Technion, alone of Cornell’s many international partners, for censure. Cornell currently maintains 159 active agreements with institutions in 59 nations and regions; all of these institutions have some government affiliation, and many conduct research with military and security applications. Cornell itself has military research contracts, conducts research with potential military applications, and has relationships with companies whose products are used in military contexts. Cornell also has relationships with institutions in countries whose governments have been accused of human rights violations—as our own has been. None of these publicly available facts are mentioned in the resolution; only our partnership with an Israeli institution is targeted for erasure. The political bias evident in this selective approach is deeply disturbing, and the resolution is incompatible with both the Student Assembly’s purpose and Cornell University’s core values. I reject it fully and forcefully."

There are massive opportunities right now for: - Small firms / consultancies providing AI enablement services for companies, and; - Companies to get way ahead of their competitors by hiring these firms
TBPN@tbpn

Sequoia’s @JulienBek says many of their founders are now wondering if they’re “just an iteration away” from AI labs destroying their business. He says the most defensible companies - and potentially the next trillion-dollar company - will be “a software business that masquerades as a services firm.” “If you sell tools today, you’re really in the line of sight for the models and you’re effectively competing with the next generation that they’re going to launch.” “Whereas if you sell the work, you’re actually benefiting from what the models are doing and all the billions of dollars that are going towards AI.”
