As the program gets older, you will see fewer properties under Hera. Same was couple of years back with Privé. Would agree on the last statement.. But that's the whole point of Miles and Points.. Revenue booking not everyone can afford same case with J & F in flights with Qatar, Emirates and Air France.

Remembering my chat with someone at ALL HQ in Paris last year. I can sadly confirm that HERA and many other point related updates over the last year (restrictions on redemptions etc) have all been brought into place due to a handful of members from India. Raffles Udaipur even tried opting out all together (Similar to what Fairmont Mumbai has now done). "Our hotels started seeing guests who you would not otherwise see at properties like Raffles & Fairmont."

And yes, not every client is same so revenue route with free cancellation for all top tier embassies - Oz, NewZ, Schengen and UK is always better than chasing for refund.

@roadsnrunways @emirates @etihad @lufthansa @FlySWISS This wasn't a fully non refundable ticket. But even the normal penalties are huge unless you are buying the top end of the fare bucket. For the same trip, Swiss refunded the entire amount with zero charges. Hotels - even I do fully refundable.

For whatever its worth, I have started avoiding @emirates and @etihad completely for all my clients traveling to Europe, ever since the below incident. If @lufthansa @FlySWISS can process full refund, so can these ME airlines that too on routes that have significant risk of visa rejection and these ME airlines are not even the primary carriers. They need to follow the market or shown their place.

@ankurmittal Not exactly devalued I would say . New hotels usually gets 3rd Night free then after some time goes to 4th night free. Season to season as well it changes.

It seems Accor has devalued the HERA program. Not seeing 3rd Free Night at Multiple hotels. Just Accor Preferred Rate is shown.

. @MilesMogul brought up an interesting point. Once you’ve flown Business or First a few times, it becomes really hard to go back to the rear of the plane 😅 Even if it’s just a short haul or domestic flight. I don’t really mind flying economy , but there’s always that keeda in the head trying one last time. Bid upgrade, miles upgrade, or a final check at the counter. Funny thing is, these tricks have worked quite well for me, especially bid and counter upgrades. How many of you can relate? @CenturionGuy1 @Kenu73 @cards_wizard

Why is the policy regarding 1 Child alongwith 2 Adults not consistent across all Accor Properties for Suite Night Upgrade usage! 🤦 Room will allow 2 Adults + 1 Child if paying but will give a message that this hotel cannot accomodate that many Children. 🤷

Yes can do and also if the kid falls under free child policy then, you can do it at the front desk as well. If the child is older then over the mail 100%. I got done the same at Sofitel Krabi for one of my client. It all depends on status and how politely one is asking - Hotel usually acknowledges the request,

@nimitmidha So booking as Two Adults & then mailing the hotel for adding the child to the booking is the only option in such case?
