@Route2FI They just have to keep track with the innovations. One recent brilliant one is @lyrafinance. Lyra Protocol will be a modular, permissionless bedrock for #DeFi derivatives where all kinds of derivatives protocols can be built on top of the Risk Engine.

From time to time, I am getting questions from friends who want to get into DeFi if there are any books they can read to understand it better. No, it isn't. What was working 1 month ago isn't necessarily the best option today. Some find that scary, but that's the price you have to pay for being early to new stuff.

@DeFiMinty It's been a while since I read an insightful piece like this, Kudos! Got an article on Options Trading? Seems a bit volatile now although some platforms are still hitting numbers with Lyra Finance setting new standards.

Thoughts on the Market BTC did have a solid green daily candle with the Grayscale move that has had a healthy retracement. As long as we stay above the golden pocket ($26.8k), I see no cause for immediate concern. Even with a bullish Grayscale ruling, BTC was still not able to close above trendline support. If you are bullish, you want BTC to break past that and make its way up to retest the $31.5k major resistance level. BTC also barely made its way above the 200D SMA before dipping back below it. If you are a bull, you want to see BTC comfortably close above it and form higher lows and higher highs that continue the uptrend. Currently it just looks like mean reversion from the key $25k support level back to the fair value gap formed by the large red candle from last week. The most likely scenario I'm thinking of right now is more boring sideways market while Crypto waits for the ETF rulings to come out Sep 3rd. I feel that the market has already priced in a delay; What's more important is the reasoning behind it. I am still bullish in the long term, but with liquidity conditions in a tight spot it will likely take some time before we see the volatility of past bull runs. Thoughts on Grayscale The Grayscale ruling is absolutely a victory for Crypto. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. However, it doesn't mean that a BTC ETF is approved yet. The ruling means that the SEC must go back and review its rationale for rejecting the Futures conversion to a Spot ETF. What they decide to do here is anyone's guess, but it's clear that the recent slew of decisions have not been in their favor. There is likely also increased pressure from Blackrock and friends on ETF approvals. In the end, it seems like a spot ETF approval is inevitable. The tricky part is more with when the approval happens. Conclusion I wouldn't be rash and go max long or short anything yet. If you want to trade I would personally wait for range highs and lows instead of trading down the middle. If you are DCA for the long term, I think this general area is all fair game. For max bullishness, I could see a situation happening where the government sells off their BTC towards the end of the year, SEC continues to delay their ETF decision making until it's close to the halving, liquidity conditions improve in Q1 2024. ETF gets approved, halving happens, Institutions finish accumulating, sprinkle in some other bullish catalysts, and GG.

i swear there is a massive need for crypto to be turned into a TV show there are so many character arcs & very complicated interconnected story lines it would be hella entertaining
