OpenAI's voice mode got really "chatty" The information density suffered All these ehhms, ahhs, and uuhms make it a less useful of a product imo Can we have the emotionless voice back?

If you’re a fan of NumPy and excited about the idea of training and running models locally on your Apple machine, MLX is the way to go. Sounds like an interesting extension that’s supposed to make things easier
N8 Programs@N8Programs

Honored to release the first-iteration of mlx-pretrain, a library for pretraining LLMs locally on Apple Silicon w/ MLX. Supports training custom tokenizers, configuring hparams, exporting to mlx-lm. Train a 2M model on 200M tokens in 2 hours. Link in replies (cause algorithm).

Surely founders don’t have time to read, right? ⏳ That’s what I thought when I got into YC 4 months ago. I grind every day from the second I wake up to the moment I crash. But when I was a kid, I loved books. Like, destroy-a-book-in-12-hours-on-vacation level obsession. My parents begged me to go outside, but I just wanted to read🌴 A few weeks into YC, I walked into an old bookstore and randomly picked up Shoe Dog. I made one rule: finish it before starting another. Every flight—no movies, just reading. Every night—5 minutes before bed. Every spare moment—Kindle instead of doomscrolling. Thanks Jeff. Finishing it felt like beating a very friendly, fun video game level. And wow, Phil Knight is nuts. The thing that stuck with me the most: → Play to win. We’re enforcing that mindset at Browser Use. Now I’m hooked again. What should I read next?👀

Ok. I give up. Klarna and me will embrace crypto! More to come Yes I know! This post will get a huge sigh and 2 views 😂 But it still feels historic. Last large fintech in the world to embrace it. Someone had to be last. And that’s a milestone as well of some sort… 🥳

Stablecoin APIs are a complete replacement for traditional payment rails, making it possible to send and receive payments anywhere in the world instantly and cheaply. There are going to be multiple winners in this space and BlindPay is off to a great start winning the market in LatAm.
BlindPay@blindpay

BlindPay just launched on @ycombinator's Launch YC! BlindPay is a stablecoin API that helps companies navigate LatAm's complex financial regulations while enabling fast and affordable global payments. Check us: ycombinator.com/launches/MeM-b…

@TweetsOfSumit how is there zero downside? Taxation for instance seems to become much more complicated and expensive compared to only having an entity here.

Lots of people are like "well if you're not able to do that stuff you won't make it as a founder" but this is FALSE. First time founders grow into it. And if it's easier for me to start a Delaware corp from Germany than it is to start a business here (with zero downside) we don't have to wonder why European founders start in the US instead of EU. More problems to tackle to solve this (like the EU Inc) but let's start somewhere: get people into entrepreneurship and pave the way for them to build @minimalempires.

EU/acc The whole ruleset for businesses in Germany 🇩🇪 like imprint, VAT, advanced accounting, subscription handling etc should apply/be enforced either the business hitting milestones. €0 revenue? Who cares about imprint or VAT €100k? Gotta need an imprint now €500k? Alright time to do proper accounting and VAT handling €1M? Bro, get your GDPR game in order. Best way to still keep large organizations accountable (for whine all these rules where made for) without crushing the founders and indie hackers starting out.

Has anyone tried getting an Apple Watch to _reduce_ how much time they spend on their phone? If so, how has it worked and how long have you been doing this?
