Not an expert on the NYC/NJ dynamic, but "let's build a stadium almost impossible to reach by foot in a metro area where a large percentage of citizens don't have cars" seems like a suboptimal plan.

There are no parts that are “hard to come by.” It’s the most watched after plane in the world. The average age of our commercial fleet is less because carriers continually buy planes, not because they wouldn’t use a plane from the 90s. Yes there is more maintenance involved but nothing an airline couldn’t handle let alone the office of the president. By “air force 1 standards” (not a very long history, bro) there have been planes that were used just as long. There was no need for a stopgap solution when boeing would build a nicer and newer one anyway. Why inherit a used plane, retarded

@timeoutburner @navuud @Jason By Air Force 1 standards they are becoming old with parts hard to come by. The Average age of our commercial airline fleet is only 15 years, so this is more than double that. These aircraft were built starting in 1986, that makes them nearly 40 years old

I know the new Air Force One donated by Qatar is a distraction, but we need to talk about it.
Am I correct that we are spending upwards of a billion dollars upgrading it for around two years of service, before it gets mothballed at the Trump Presidential Library?
Based on 100 days of use a year, for two years, that is a huge waste of taxpayer dollars, no?
The President should donate the plane to shuttle our soldiers back from the front. That would be a good use of a donated plane.

@BoeTrond Many towns allow clubs to play on their fields at no cost, but not all so that would be ideal area to help with field costs as most of those fields are already being maintained or turf surfaces.
Government does nothing well & should stay out of directly funding youth sports.
