@Mutokoyi1 I’m not envious but simply stating a fact. The manner in which he took that MP role was surrounded by controversy. He was defeated in the actual election yet gained the seat through disputed recalls allegedly driven by ZANU‑PF. He shouldn’t brag.

@DavidColtart This is a deliberate plan by zanupf to fool people into believing that zanupf is not aware of these subsections. Zanupf is going to call for a referendum, at a very short notice, and rig the outcome of this referendum in their favour. We need to prepare the citizens.

With respect the opinion issued by the Attorney General is bad in law. The AG focuses on section 328(6) of the Constitution but ignores the 3 subsections which follow, namely sub sections 328(7), (8) and (9) which make it abundantly clear that a referendum is required if the “effect of any amendment” is to extend “the length of time” an incumbent holds office. Subsection 328(9) makes it clear that any amendment to the incumbency provision must be treated “as if it were contained in Chapter 4”. The AG argues that because there is no change to Chapter 4 no referendum is necessary. But section 328(9) makes it clear that an amendment to the incumbency provision must be treated “as if” it was an amendment to Chapter 4. The effect of these amendments is to extend the length of time in office of the incumbent President, MPs and Councillors. The reference by the AG to Section 328(6) is just a red herring and doesn’t apply here. A referendum is clearly required and there is no way round that.

The video below captures the violent Mashurugwi gathered at the burial of one of their leaders, “Brown,” who was murdered in Kadoma. Armed with knives and axes—even at a funeral—this is a clear reflection of the lawlessness that has taken root. You cannot separate @edmnangagwa and @ZANUPF_Official from this kind of disorder. These gangs operate with impunity, terrorising communities, invading artisanal mining sites, looting gold from peaceful miners, and enforcing control through violence. Their actions are not random—they are systematic and protected. The same gold extracted through brutality is allegedly funneled into networks linked to politically connected individuals, including Scott Sakupwanya’s Betterbrands. This is not just criminality—it is organised exploitation thriving under political cover. When a country reaches a point where armed gangs openly display violence at funerals without fear, it signals a complete breakdown of governance, accountability, and rule of law. This is exactly why the proposed #CAB3 Constitutional Amendment must be rejected.
