@ShivamVahia versova - virar sea link coastal road is a disaster it should never happen

I know everyone is going CRAZY CRAZY seeing this map, but I genuinely have doubts they'll be able to make the Versova-Virar sealink as planned. The Charkop connector will pass through Manori, land acquisition will be a pain because of the environmentalists. The Uttan connector will pass through Uttan, a very conservative anti-infra area. Try buying land there, the Church will immediately step in and aggravate the issue. They've literally kicked out Line 9 Depot. Land acquisition won't go through without making this an international-level embarrassment. Same doubts for Vasai connector. I mean, if the gov really wants to do it, it can. But realistically speaking, nope. Our politicians will very easily buckle under pressure. Aarey Shed was an exception because too much money was on the line (JICA sitting on the head) and Fadnavis really wanted the underground novelty to be his legacy. That Fadnavis is gone now. He can't even control his own MLAs anymore and goes around deleting Metro stations because a few boomers don't have a hobby. Safe to say, we have crossed the infra peak, and going forward, these grand ambitious projects will be on lower gears. Go through history and you'll realise such khayali-pulaos keep coming under every government, executing them is a very different thing. Ofcourse, I'll be the happiest if I'm proven wrong.
