Please post for me. I lost my father in November 2025. He had a Life Assurance Policy with Fidelity Life for more than 10 years. During that time, USD $12 was deducted from his salary every month, as he was a government teacher. After his burial, we went to the Fidelity Life offices in Harare (along Julius Nyerere Way) to make a claim. We were told the money would be deposited into my mother’s account in February 2026. February came, but nothing was deposited. I went back to their offices, and they told me to come back the following Friday. We waited, but still nothing. After two more weeks, I returned again. This time, they told me that only USD $38 and 2000 ZiG would be deposited into my mother’s account the next week. After more than 10 years of deductions from my father’s salary, this is all my mother is expected to receive, and even that has not yet been paid. Fidelity Life is a scam. For more than 24 hours, he stayed hidden in a small crevice, trying not to be seen. Hundreds of Iranian forces were out looking for him. Even locals were being offered money to capture him. The U.S. was tracking signals, but it wasn’t simple. Some signals looked real, others felt like traps… there was a real fear he might already be captured. Then a short radio message came through: “God is good.” That’s when they knew he was still alive. One pilot had already been rescued earlier, in daylight, under heavy fire. Fast and risky. Bikita man battling prostate cancer appeals for US$200 MASVINGO – Mashashera Mukwena (64) who is battling prostate cancer is appealing for US$200 to undergo medical tests to enable doctors to prescribe him the necessary medication. Mukwena who comes from Bikita has been battling prostate cancer since 2024. His health has deteriorated and Mukwena is now bedridden. He suffers from severe pains, constant bleeding, loss of blabber control and is unable to provide for his family. Mukwena’s sister, Masline Mukwena told Masvingo Mirror Helpline that her brother is in need of US$200 to undergo tests at Vaan Praat Medical Laboratory in Chiredzi. She added that Mukwena also suffers from a blocked bladder and had a tube inserted inside him. The tube is replaced monthly at a cost at Mashoko Mission Hospital. Masline added that the monthly payments have drained all family savings and they are struggling to raise the required amount. “We are pleading with anyone who can assist us to help my brother as soon as possible. When he visits doctors for checkup he only gets pills to ease the pain. “My brother was a farmer who provided for his family. His condition has significantly deteriorated over the past months. He frequently experiences persistent bleeding and loss of bladder control,” said Masline. Mukwena has five children with the youngest aged 11. His wife and older children are not employed.
