Given that Gavin Newsom has basically been running for prez from the day Trump took office, it's a real head scratcher that he issued this veto. Very "San Francisco values" of him, so it's going to be a bad look, nationally. Chances are pretty high it's going to come back to bite him in his political ass when he does run, especially given the baseline reality that he's already vulnerable to the charge that he's a cultural cosmopolitan with lots of out-of-touch-with-the-normies luxury beliefs.
