What we know we shall communicate. Do you know that ZANU PF’s 2030 agenda is just one among many constitutional amendments that ZANU PF wants to bring to Parliament? The bill they are working on is an omnibus bill (carrying multiple amendments). One other amendment proposed is to have Voter Registration back to the Registrar General’s Office (Tobaiwa Mudede style). The other is formalizing Political Parties through registration dynamics in a manner akin to the PVO Act. All these are issues for which citizens must be engaged through the @DCPlatform25. I am not asking anyone to vote for me, I am asking someone to not ignore these critical national conversations.

Matthew Takaona, an opposition Parliamentary candidate in the 2023 harmonised elections has donated a bed, US$120, kitchen utensils to Marshal Innocent Manhivi of Jaravaza Village under Chief Nyamandi in Gutu and his wife who lost a child (one-year-six-months old) and all property in an inferno that gutted down their house. Speaking at a prayer meeting to console the family, Takaona said it is shocking that there is no Government Official or Department that set foot on the homestead to find ways of assisting the family after it lost everything in December last year. He said the existence of NSSA, Social Welfare Department and Civil Protection Unit is theoretical if these organisations cannot intervene in such disasters. He also bemoaned incapacitation of the Police after cops arrived at the scene 11 hours later because they had no vehicle. Other donations to the Manhivi family were received from Senator Maggie Chakabuda and Honourable Tendeukai Matara. The ZRP is requesting Dr. David Nhunzva to report to the CID Law and Order section to help with ongoing investigations. He is wanted for allegedly creating AI-generated videos meant to harm the image of the ZRP. Watch the three videos below. The police shared the following statement on their social media platforms: The ZRP reminds the public that the Cyber and Data Protection Act, Ch 12:07 criminalizes creating, distributing or publishing false or misleading information on digital platforms. This includes circulating deepfake videos, fabricated news, misleading claims, using digital platforms to humiliate, threaten or demean individuals or institutions and producing or sharing AI-generated content that misrepresents reality. The ZRP is investigating a social media personality known as Dr. David Nhunzva for allegedly creating AI-generated videos intended to damage the image of the ZRP. The ZRP will not tolerate the misuse of digital technologies to mislead the public, harm reputations or undermine trust in national institutions. It is therefore in the interest of Dr. David Nhunzva to report to CID Law and Order to assist in the on-going investigations.

This is what led to the arrest of Matthew Takaona on Tuesday …..These are the perils school kids going to Mushayavanhu Primary/secondary and several other schools along Gutu-Bhasera Highway go through daily. Countless fatal accidents have been reported on this road because of lack of maintenance. Where is @tscz1 @MoPSEZim @MinistryofTID @PoliceZimbabwe when children go through such danger. Matthew Takaona, a journalist and publisher was arrested by the CIO on Tuesday when he mobilised a group of parents to cut down the grass and bushes and create more space for children to walk on the sides of the road.
