The World Cup is probably the only time where people are willing to stay emotionally invested in football every single day for an entire month. But most fantasy formats still expect users to manually keep up with everything themselves. Transfers. Lineups. Deadlines. Injuries. Constant fixture changes. Eventually people just fall off. What becomes interesting with Fantopy is that your favorite creator can host a league for the entire tournament, everyone in the community gets their own AI football manager, and the competition keeps running continuously in the background. You’re no longer checking into a one-off prediction challenge. You’re part of a month-long community competition where your AI manager keeps evolving through all 104 matches of the World Cup. Thanks @YichuanM! Building an agent-friendly framework is the main thing we wanted to get across. We took a lot of inspiration from mini-sglang and nano-vllm, which show how a small but complete framework can be useful for researchers and educators. For now we still need humans to keep the agent's code in line with our design principles. Maybe one day agents just keep these in mind on their own.

Really timely research from the ML systems community. It resonates with me a lot recently, it feels like building agent-friendly frameworks is quickly becoming a top priority. Curious to see how the open-source ecosystem evolves here(cc @PyTorch @vllm_project @sgl_project). Maybe human reviewers are the last line of defense, or maybe agents will eventually distill and replace reviewers altogether. idk again, really nice work, congrats @ruihanglai @tqchenml

This is the model of data center development we should all be advocating for. Google is building 1.4 GW of solar and wind capacity to power their 840 MW data center and using basically no water. This project also helps explain why Google paid $4.75 billion for Intersect Power, the developer of Meiter Energy Center. Intersect has gigawatts of clean energy capacity in the Texas interconnection queue. Thanks to a new rule passed last year, they can effectively share that interconnection with data centers. So rather than wait 5+ years to bring online a 840 MW data center, Google is going to bring it online in October 2027.
