After I blew the whistle to the SASC and the DODIG about McRaven’s crimes during his command of SOCOM, I was banned for 10 years from an Air Force Base without explanation other than the base commander suddenly felt I was “a threat to good order and discipline.” I was informed by legal counsel that seeking redress from a federal court was futile because federal judges always deterred to military commanders. They later told SASC staffers that I was impersonating a military officer and that I had never been commissioned as a military officer, but there was one tiny problem with that lie ... I had been confirmed to the rank of Colonel just months earlier via the very same SASC they were lying to. Their corruption is so brazen it would make a buy here/pay here used car salesman blush.

A retired officer loses base access over an accidental carry and the SecDef finds out about it on X and responds within hours. That's a different kind of Pentagon than the one that spent four years focused on pronouns and diversity training.
