For the geopolitical experts out there - what are the odds that the US was keen to start this war due to intel that China was looking to make a move on Taiwan and that an energy crisis / Strait closure could delay or prevent that? @jam_croissant

This was the turning radius of an 18 wheeler. I thought CT has steer by wire and turns easily? Maybe i didn't pay attention is physics class and speed messes all that up but man I thought a CT can turn sharper than that

UPDATE: Elon Musk says the driver of this Cybertruck disengaged Autopilot four seconds before crashing, which means the driver was manually driving during this entire clip that Fox shared. Elon: "As anyone knows who uses it, that video is not how Autopilot drives."

I went to the exact same location of the Cybertruck accident shown in the Fox News video. This is the US-69/59 Eastex Freeway northbound HOV lane at the Y-split near the Eastex Park & Ride exit (approaching from downtown Houston toward Humble). In the Fox News video, the vehicle failed to follow the right curve, going straight into the barrier. Well, I tested it twice today with Tesla FSD engaged the entire time with zero human intervention. And unless you think I am a hologram speaking to you from another dimension now, it worked out really well. Here is the video of me taking the exact same curve twice, with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5.

Rivian Universal Hands-Free vs Tesla Self-Driving This was my first time testing Rivian's new Universal Hands-Free, and I was honestly surprised by how it performed. I understand this is their first attempt and it will only improve from here, but truthfully, it is worse than any version of FSD or Autopilot I have ever used. I respect Rivian as a company, but I always try to remain unbiased in my opinions, so here are my unfiltered thoughts on where UHF stands today. Hoping to test it more as the system receives major updates! Hope you all enjoy the video. @iamhereforelon @SuperChrgingSam @DirtyTesLa Don't know what you said but x.com/actuallyajoke/… sentiment is down on 2026.2.9.1 and 2026.2.9, I am staying on 2025.45.10 (14.2.2.5 oldest) until I hear more good things about it. People calling it regression repeatedly.
RBOTAXI DRIVER@actuallyajoke

@mrfundman Yeah. Noticing some more lane change hesitation again, a clear regression from the last version of 14.2.2.5 I was on (2025.45.10). Also got the bug where the car just doesn’t go into park earlier today

Can Tesla push a fix that would require a driver to be paying attention before FSD can be disengaged? Theoretically could be done with the eye-tracking already in place. Would prevent, let’s say, a mother accidentally bumping the wheel when adjusting a baby. @elonmusk @aelluswamy

@archinator27 Not clear if it's on purpose, but it's clearly FSD since the Cybertruck doesn't have Autopilot.

Musk confirms that the Cyebrtruck was on FSD, but was disengaged 4 seconds prior to the crash. What are your thoughts? Should this count as a crash on FSD? Tesla typically counts an FSD crash if FSD was disengaged in the last 4 seconds.

'TERRIFYING': Dashcam video shows the moment a Tesla Cybertruck, allegedly operating in self-driving mode, nearly sent a Houston mom and her infant off a bridge before violently crashing into an overpass barrier. The woman claims she suffered multiple injuries from the incident and is now suing the automaker for $1 million.

@AndyZeGerman The psycho lady even sued Tesla, and she bought a cybertruck. There's no excuse of that. She's the problem, not tesla. Similar to tons of people have poor peripheral got fsd strike outs. I have used the system over 5 years, not even one time I couldn't see flashing blue light.

I will get a ton of blowback for what I am about to say, but here goes. I have let people use FSD on all of my Teslas since I first got it. Over all the years I have seen the same issue over and over again. When they are unfamiliar, they did not notice when it disengaged. The sound of disengagement is not very loud and can easily be missed, when inexperienced. I am not saying that Tesla was at fault, but it would be nice to have a default setting and clear voice and visual announcement, that FSD has been disengaged. Have said so in my live streams as well. Then there could be an advanced setting where you turn that "off" to basically what it is right now. It can be missed for beginners, as some touch the wheel or tap the brakes, not knowing that they actually disengaged. Again, I said what I said, but if you disagree, I ask you to let some none Tesla drivers drive your car.

Tesla NEEDS to do a free version of FSD Delivering cars with just TACC is a fucked up situation Please Tesla, this will supercharge adoption. It’s not for me, i’m a paid FSD user. But we need to hook the users who don’t want to or can’t pay.

@pbeisel 100% not fsd, she most likely has TACC on and was looking at her phone and crashed the truck. It will be 100% slam dunk for tesla.

@DevinOlsenn @tesla_ai why not make it an option in the menu, for people who like the new speed modes let them keep it. For people who want old max speed control back, enable it.
