.@emilmichael went from scaling Uber across 600 cities to rewiring the world's largest military. In the midst of the Pentagon-Silicon Valley debate, the now U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering opens up about what a real partnership demands from both sides. He also shares how he's built three new entry points for defense tech companies, and why America's military is called the "Department of War" again. @DeptofWar

Incredible. @winstonweinberg, @gabepereyra, and the @harvey team have built the runaway category leader in legal AI. The product and customer momentum are palpable. Over half of the AmLaw 100, 1,300+ organizations across 60 countries, 25,000+ custom agents, and in-house legal now the fastest-growing segment. The numbers speak for themselves and our conviction only grows with each round 🚀
Winston Weinberg@winstonweinberg

Excited to announce our latest funding round at an $11B valuation led by GIC and @sequoia with participation from @a16z, @coatuemgmt, @conviction, @eladgil, @EvanticCapital, and @kleinerperkins. Thank you to our customers, team, investors, and everyone else who has helped along the way.

Congratulations to the @faunarobotics team on joining forces with @amazon! I first met Rob and Josh while they were building CTRL-Labs, and when they began working on Fauna, it was an immediate yes for me. Robots may one day feel as familiar as laptops or smartphones in spaces where we live and work, and that future is getting closer to reality. kleinerperkins.com/perspectives/f…

We've been using @meetgranola for a while now, and it's become one of those tools we can't imagine working without. @cjpedregal, @samstphenson and the team have built something that feels obvious in retrospect. Your meetings are full of context that just disappears. Granola keeps it, organizes it, and now makes it available across your whole team and every AI tool you use. Congrats to the whole Granola team, and welcome to the KP family! bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

.@dps, @alcor and I -- along with the entire @Dreamer team -- are joining Meta Superintelligence Labs today! The idea behind Dreamer is simple: every person should have the power to create software that makes their lives better. We're excited to make this happen for billions of people. And personally, I'm really psyched to be rejoining so many old friends at Meta!
David Singleton@dps

Excited to announce that @hbarra , @alcor and I are joining Meta Superintelligence Labs with the entire @Dreamer team today. The last few months have been extraordinary: we built Dreamer, put the beta in the world just a month ago, and saw magic come to life for real people. Since then, thousands of people have used Dreamer to build personal, intelligent software with our Sidekick in the world’s newest and most popular programming language: English! They're building and sharing agents to manage email, calendar, and to-do’s, create learning tools for their kids, learn new languages, plan trips with friends, become better cooks, help them with work, achieve their health goals, or simply to creatively express themselves—all sorts of surprising and uniquely personal needs. These are agents as unique as the people building them, because they're built exactly the way each person wants them to be. We’ve captured some of our favorites at dreamer.com/community-lett…. What matters most here isn’t the early momentum; it’s what Dreamer has enabled people to do. People are building things they’ve wanted for years. They’re solving real, important problems no traditional software company would ever prioritize, because they’re too niche, too bespoke, too personal. What company would ever build for an “n of 1”? Our bet from the beginning has been that software should be personal, malleable, and shaped by the person using it. The constraint was never people’s imagination. It was the fact that building software is out of reach for most people. This early chapter gives us conviction that the idea resonates, the need is real, and the moment is now. @alexandr_wang was helpful to us from the very beginning, and when we showed Dreamer to Mark Zuckerberg and @natfriedman earlier this year, it was clear right away that we share the same vision of the future: one where billions of people have the power to create software that makes their lives better. We’re thrilled to accelerate this mission by joining Meta Superintelligence Labs and licensing our technology to Meta. Read more at meta.com/superintellige…. Deeply grateful to our investors @jillchase124 and @ninaachadjian for supporting our vision for a more personal, creative, and intelligent future for software. Thank you for the trust, the thought partnership, and for being in our corner at every step. To everyone in our community who built with us: thank you. You've taught us what's possible, and you're the proof this works. We're so grateful, and we're just getting started!

Today @kleinerperkins announces KP22, our twenty-second venture fund with $1 billion to back early stage companies, alongside $2.5 billion in growth funds to back high-inflection, category-defining businesses. Together, these new funds total $3.5 billion and reflect our conviction that this is one of the most important company-building periods in our firm's 54-year history. We are at a breakthrough moment. Been playing with @Rippling AI this week. Typed in: "I'm trying to plan an offsite for the team sometime in 2026. Suggest windows of times when the least amount of vacations are taken (based on historic data) and are spaced outside of national holidays and school holidays in the Bay Area." Got a bunch of windows, instantly, from live data. Software in the AI era is great!

Congratulations to @thejamescad, @dbabbs, and the entire @tryprofound team on the Ser C less than a year since the Ser A! A testament to the growth and execution. Every brand will have to deeply care about AI and Profound is on an absolute tear, already helping 10% of the Fortune 500 stay visible. This team ships and is the 🚀 to hop on!
Dylan Babbs@dbabbs

Today, @tryprofound is excited to announce our $96M Series C at a $1B valuation, led by @lightspeedvp with participation from @sequoia, @kleinerperkins, @mattevantic, @saga_ventures and @southpkcommons. When we started Profound 18 months ago, we had two fundamental beliefs about where marketing is heading: 1. Every company will care deeply about how AI talks about their brand. 2. Every marketer will use AI Agents to do their best work, faster. Those beliefs are becoming reality faster than we imagined. Now, we serve more than 10% of the Fortune 500 and are the number 1 leader on the G2 grid for AEO. To double down on that momentum, we’re taking two big swings: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: AI workers that take marketing teams from concept to execution. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆: certifications and cohort-based learning for marketers who want stay at the forefront of AI marketing. Reply with 𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 for free access to one of our most popular agents. No account required and no strings attached.

A couple years ago, I never would have guessed I’d be producing a whole episode, let alone a whole show, on longevity. And now we’re here because a lot of what used to feel theoretical is starting to feel buildable. Builders episode 3 is a grounded, practical look at the future of biology with @LauraDeming (@untillabs) and @jacobkimmel (@newlimit ): organ cryo, cellular reprogramming, and how AI is accelerating discovery.

I rarely agree to be on the other side of the camera, but this was a fun one. Thanks to Yash for a great conversation about founder storytelling, founder-led marketing, and content that compounds.
yash@yashbagal

Psyched to share my conversation w/ @MMCandyCheng - Head of Content Identity @kleinerperkins. Candy has spent years inside newsrooms at Bloomberg and CNBC, where she's seen hundreds of founders learn how to tell their stories in real time. Today, she works closely with early-stage founders at Kleiner Perkins, helping them shape their narrative from day zero. We spoke about: - why storytelling went from a nice-to-have to a core founder responsibility - common failure modes when it comes to founder-led marketing - the difference between shiny launch videos and content that actually compounds - why getting started matters more than seeking perfection

Episode 2 of Builders is out now. This time, @josh_coyne and @LM_Braswell sit down with @nayakkayak (@harvey) and @SachiAShah (@SierraPlatform) to talk about the new product management rules that come with AI. They dig into why context-complete workflows matter more than raw model capability, and how forward deployed teams + tight feedback loops turn AI into something customers can rely on every day. “People don’t expect VCs to talk about faith, and how it drives their values, how they show up in the world, and the way they treat people.” That’s from my interview with @agarfinks in @FortuneMagazine, about working with @mamoonha, who led our Series C at @Thrive Global with @kleinerperkins. “You know how a lot of VCs and tech leaders think that, because we live in frenetic times, they need to match the frenetic pace of the times? It’s actually the opposite—the more frenetic the times, the more exponential the change, the more important it is to actually find that centered place in ourselves. And that is Mamoon.” Click here for the full piece: bit.ly/4a8MH9J
