WAPDA announced Load Shedding schedule for DIKHAN City feeders. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa produces around 50% of entire Pakistan's electricity but we suffer load shedding ranging between 12 hrs to 20 hrs. ایک نہیں دو پاکستان

This will be the biggest reform in the right direction if implemented in its true spirit. Cross subsidies on industry, exports and productive sectors were never sustainable. Subsidies should directly reach genuinely deserving segments through a transparent and targeted mechanism such as BISP, instead of distorting energy tariffs for the entire economy. Competitive energy pricing is critical for exports, industrial growth, employment generation and overall economic stability. Thank you @AliPervaiz450, more power to you. @PakPMO @CMShehbaz @betterpakistan @BilalAKayani @IhsaanaKhan @kschehzad @81ShahbazRana @mubarakzebdawn

Govt commits to end consumption-based gas subsidies by January 2027 as all consumers likely to pay uniform average tariff of ₨1,750 per MMBtu Read: profit.pakistantoday.com.pk/2026/05/13/pak…

@mukhtarkhurram @SSaleem08 I don’t do textiles but generally if a part of our business is causing us problems for several decades we would move on eventually. I guess we don’t have the appetite for risk like the textile industry.

Excellent suggestion. By that logic, farmers should stop farming when water is scarce, airlines should stop flying when fuel prices rise, and startups should shut down the moment they face losses. Problem solved, economy deleted successfully. Industries do not relocate overnight like changing a WhatsApp DP. Textile is Pakistan’s largest export sector, employs millions of families, supports agriculture, logistics, ports, banking and retail supply chains. People stay because they build businesses over generations and keep trying to improve the ecosystem rather than abandon the country at the first difficulty. But thank you, your economic restructuring plan of “just quit” was refreshingly simple. IMF should probably take notes.

You have cracked it. Thousands of people wake up every morning, invest billions, employ millions, survive policy shocks, delayed refunds, 33+ Rs/unit electricity, high interest rates, global competition and razor thin margins, purely for recreational purposes. Textile exporters must be the world’s most committed charity workers, generating foreign exchange, paying taxes, creating jobs and still somehow being accused of “doing favours.” Remarkable species indeed. Also fascinating how people believe businesses continue for decades in one of the toughest global industries just because owners enjoy stress, audits, compliance inspections and energy bills as a hobby. Netflix should make a documentary.

@SSaleem08 @mukhtarkhurram It’s the only business where they claim they r unable to earn anything but still stay in that business. Holier than thou of course as they are doing us a favor by exporting

@mukhtarkhurram So does APTMA still stick to their claim that their gas plants have an efficiency of 90+% when global average was circa 64%? This was said my APTMA in 2018.

Do what you are best at, this is clearly not your forte. No wonder we are at this stage when people comment on complex industrial and energy matters without basic understanding or substance. CHP/captive generation is globally recognised as one of the most efficient forms of energy utilisation for continuous process industries. Export manufacturing is our actual business, generating employment, foreign exchange and economic activity for Pakistan not social media guesswork from a glass house. Pity.

@Huk06 @motasim @SShabbarZaidi @therealaitzaz It’s come to a point where it’s impossible to convince people who currently have businesses in Pakistan to further invest here. From a friend group of 10, maybe 3 of us are back or plan to come back. Everyone else was okay leaving established businesses and opt for studio apts…

The ex FBR Chairman @SShabbarZaidi is on the board of Greentree the company used as a vehicle to defraud shareholders & move $100M out of country. The CEO & Director is Ali Ahsan, son of @therealaitzaz. I hope they are prepared for the wire fraud cases they’ll be accused of that will soon be filed in United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. TRG management thought they could use the classic elite playbook to get away with grand fraud. But they went up against someone who’s a force of nature and understands the global game.
MALHAAR@sarmad1

@Zia_Chishti_71 Sir, who owns Greentree Holdings? You should name and shame the culprits behind this heinous corporate fraud and illegal movement of funds.
