Firestone Highland Avenue in San Bernardino turned my pristine 2007 Lexus LS460 into a over $22,000 wreck in one visit. I brought it in for a simple TPMS reset the advisor said the car was in excellent condition after a full inspection, then upsold brake fluid, coolant, and differential flushes for $683.82 that I paid for in cash 7 hours later the car returned with dark oil handprints and smudges across the luxury beige leather interior, grease in the trunk, and a deep gash in my subwoofer box. Closing Manager Rico admitted it was a recurring issue with technicians ignoring covers and not respecting vehicles. He told me it was safe to drive just lights flashing On the way home the brakes went soft, power faded, and steering went limp I had to pull the wheel as hard as possible I nearly hit a mother walking her child across the street, then almost rear ended a parked car. Minutes later failsafe engaged again and I had to swerve from a van full of kids toward the curb, correcting inches away. I then had it towed to Crown Lexus and confirmed the "Plus Car Care Evaluation" (PPI I paid for to have the car inspected entirely to build a list of anything from the tires - suspension to the engine they said everything was perfectly fine.) Crown Lexus diagnosed $22,194.84 in repairs: radiator damaged, air trapped in brake lines, wrecked suspension components, oil leaks—all from the improper flush and mishandling. Claims department supervisor Nick has ghosted me after 3 to 5 hours daily calling and emailing, Robert from claims when he finally got back to me decided it was imperative to belittle me over the call due to my circumstances this company has left me in. When I made it clear to the rental days needed he had made no attempt for rental extension, from calling the store location the managers began yelling and hung up. BAR complaint filed along with BBB and both are beginning their investigation especially considering the dollar amount of damages here. I immediately called and emailed a letter and informed them in person about my desire to handle this outside of court and I was willing to settle for them fixing my car and returning it back to the shape and functional operating capacity it was at before they ruined the one thing I gifted myself with. I requested for communication and updates along with the fixing what their technician did, I only got a response after calling emailing calling back to back days in a row We are seeking full compensation under California and federal law for negligent auto repair and emotional distress: Full refund of the $683.82 paid for services that were never properly performed (hence one major red flag the inspection being reported as "your car is perfect and can use this if you'd like but not mandatory or needed anytime soon") Payment of the full $22,194.84 Crown Lexus repair estimate including radiator replacement, brake bleed/air removal, suspension repairs to upper and lower control arms, trailing arms, knuckles, bushings, joints, engine and transmission mounts, and valve cover gasket replacement Reimbursement for interior damage consisting of oil handprints and smudges cuts and unnecessary marks on the beige leather seats, console, sun visor, sunroof, glove box, dashboard, speaker covers and door handles along with the deep gash in the premium custom made subwoofer box that was in my trunk! Reimbursement for exterior damage consisting of grease splatter on the hood, bumper, and windshield plus chipped paint scuffs from the bay lift and missing wheel well screws Reimbursement for towing expenses, extended rental car until the vehicle is fully repaired and returned, and lost wages including the $750 photography gig plus daily work disruptions and additional expenses incurred from the lack of transportation additional 1,650.00 Emotional distress compensation in the range of $5,000 to $10,000 for the severe fear and anxiety caused by two near crashes involving children and pedestrians and only due to the assurance of my car being safe to drive from a professional technician in a leadership role at the business I decided to trust my most prized investment. Punitive damages for the reckless and oppressive conduct evidenced by closing manager Rico’s “technicians not protecting interior/exterior of vehicles is a recurring issue” admission and violations of Firestone’s own Global Code of Conduct again after 15 years of continuous sacrifice and putting others first this car was my gem and gift to myself symbolizing a new start to a new chance at life and this company ruined it in so many ways This is not an isolated incident Firestone has a documented history of similar complaints involving careless repairs unsafe vehicles and poor customer treatment with hundreds of reported issues across California and thousands nationwide Firestone and Bridgestone owe full repairs, refund, rental, lost wages, and emotional distress. @FirestoneAuto @BridgestoneUS @Bridgestone @BARinfo @bbb_us fix this as your manager assured me you would within an HOUR it has been 10 Days! #NegligentRepair #ConsumerRights

When called last night to get the refund, we were told after an hour there was a problem processing it and to call back today. I got on a chat today and was told we were now outside of the 15-day window to get a refund. You guys are #scam artists. @bbb_us

You continue to find new ways to disappoint @BestBuy. We bought a refrigerator from you. My wife and I both took off of work for the delivery, but your crew brought the wrong one, so we had to take a second day off of work and were promised a partial refund for our trouble. 1/2

@bbb_us You're very welcome. I may be in need of your help again. @Fandango has been selling defective copies of movies and TV shows. I take a while watching the shows I buy, and by the time I watch them it is too late to get a refund. It seems they are selling bootleg copies.

@bbb_us I am so glad to see the BBB still around helping consumers against dishonest businesses. You've been a huge help to me since I was 13 years old (I am now 67) against Warren Publishing Company who refused to send me the magazines I ordered. Thank you for your services

@InstacartHelp How am I still on the waiting list after three years, and one of my friends who never worked for IC got a spot in my neighborhood after I told him that there was a waiting list. Something is not right. Next stop is the Better Business Bureau.

As a veteran with over 20 years of honorable service to our country, I believe I have every right to question serious issues like this and demand accountability. For the past 3+ years, @USAA has harassed my wife and me. Here's what happened: I financed a car through USAA and made payments for ~6 years. In late 2019, I needed to ship the car overseas legally that I just bought, so USAA had to handle/release the title for that process. Right around payoff time, USAA suddenly claimed they couldn't find the title and said they "never had it." When I called to confirm, I was transferred to a representative (a Scottish gentleman) who clearly stated in their system that USAA did have the title and could see it. Believing that, I paid off the loan immediately through the app. Three days later, a USAA executive called and reversed course: they now claim they never had the title—even for the overseas shipment in Dec 2019. I asked why they never informed me of this during 6 years of payments and numerous complaint calls with them over the years. They said they SENT "ONE" letter in early 2020—after the car was already shipped and never asked or said a thing about it again. They admitted the car was shipped overseas without proper title handling on their end. When I asked what they'd do to locate or resolve the title now, they said "nothing"—because the loan is paid off, they have no "standing." This sequence raises serious questions: How could USAA allow/approve shipping my vehicle overseas without proper title possession or release? Why provide conflicting information from reps and executives, leading me to pay off the loan under false pretenses? Why no real effort to fix this after years of payments and service? Why are companies allowed to create this kind of confusion, potentially mislead customers, and then walk away with zero accountability? As a veteran who trusted USAA (especially given their military focus), this feels like a betrayal. I'm seeking resolution: release of any lien documentation, help obtaining a clear title (or bond/replacement process), and an explanation/apology. @USAA @USAA_help — please address this directly. Also tagging for visibility: @POTUS @SecDef @USOCC @FTC @CFPB @bbb_us (since this involves potential consumer protection/banking issues). Thank you for any guidance or support. Please Repost and pass on for other Veterans so they also don't fall victim.
