Algorand protocol development and ecosystem growth are now under one roof. Algorand Foundation and Algorand Technologies ( @Algorand ) have come to a strategic agreement to unify ecosystem operations. This agreement creates a unified powerhouse for blockchain innovation here in the United States and positions Algorand as the chain that enables financial empowerment at scale.

Simplifying AI
Simplifying AI@simplifyinAI·
🚨 BREAKING: China just fixed a 10-year-old flaw hidden inside every major language model. Every AI you use today (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) is built on a massive flaw. It’s called the residual connection. Here’s the problem: every layer inside an AI blindly stacks its output on top of the last one. There is no filtering, no judgment, just blind accumulation. Imagine a meeting where every person shouts their ideas at full volume, forever. The early ideas (the fundamental patterns) get drowned out by the newer, louder layers piled on top. The technical term is “prenorm dilution,” but in practice, it means your AI forgets its own most important work as it gets deeper. We’ve been building models like this since 2017. Now, Moonshot AI (Kimi) just dropped a paper that completely replaces this broken system. They call it “attention residuals.” Instead of blindly accumulating everything, each layer now “votes” on which previous layers actually matter using softmax attention over depth. The network learns to remember what’s important and ignore what isn’t. The results are absolutely insane: - It matches the performance of models that used 25% more compute to train - Tested on a 48-billion-parameter model with massive gains in math, code, and reasoning - Inference slowdown is less than 2% - It’s a direct drop-in replacement for existing systems The Transformer replaced recurrence with attention across words in 2017. This paper is doing the exact same thing across layers of depth. This is the same class of idea. The entire architecture of AI is about to change.

Today, the Algorand Foundation made the difficult decision to reduce our workforce by 25%. This decision was not taken lightly and is in response to the uncertain global macro environment as well as the broader downturn in crypto markets. These employees have been best-in-class contributors to this ecosystem and to the Foundation, and this was an incredibly tough decision. We are sincerely grateful to them, and we are, of course, committed to supporting them through this transition. We believe that we now have a more sustainable alignment of Algorand Foundation resources with the protocol’s long-term business, technology, and ecosystem priorities. We remain fully focused on our mission of financial empowerment and the continued development and growth of the Algorand protocol, network, and ecosystem.

They’ve got plenty of money to fund Teletubbies and EtherLink projects which extract liquidity and then disappear … But now they need to save money by cutting bakers on the L1. Tezos Foundation… we need to see vision for growth, not just managed decline. Please update
Tezos Foundation@TezosFoundation

The Tezos Foundation is simplifying its baker setup, moving from 8 to 4 in order to reduce costs. Over the coming days, expect some movement in delegation and staking as this transition takes place.

"Alex, why are you bullish on Algorand?" 🟢 @AlgoFoundation is moving HQ to the US in 2026, giving Algorand a stronger strategic position as a leading American blockchain. 🟢 $ALGO is the first major L1 that has executed a post-quantum transaction on its mainnet, while most blockchains are light-years behind. 🟢 Algorand still offers one of the best and most frictionless UX you can find on any public blockchain/DLT on the market. 🟢 In 2026, any company/individual will be able to open virtual USD/EUR accounts, accept traditional bank payments, and settle everything on-chain on $ALGO in a fully compliant way, which is MASSIVE news for institutional adoption on Algorand. 🟢 @_JennieLevin, the new CLOO at @AlgoFoundation based in Washington DC, is now working hard to keep Algorand at the center of regulatory discussions and closer to any favorable developments. 🟢 Independent researchers demonstrated that $ALGO is one of the most energy-efficient blockchains under heavy load. 🟢 Algorand has never been this decentralized, whether you look at the number of validator nodes (1700+), the geographic distribution of nodes (82 countries), or the stake distribution (AF's stake is down from 60% to only ~20%, with all the rest being community stake). 🟢 Relay nodes are becoming completely optional thanks to the deployment of the P2P gossip network. 🟢 No AWS dependence (< 8% of all nodes). 🟢 Top-2 chain in tokenized stocks, behind Ethereum. 🟢 $ALGO is one of the only L1s partnered with Google's AP2 for agentic commerce, and the Head of Web3 at @googlecloud publicly described Algorand's PoC demo (provided by @AlgoFoundation to industry leaders) as "great". 🟢 The Coinbase x402 integration is built. 🟢 2025 was a record year in terms of DEX volume on Algorand. 🟢 Massive blockchain-based products are being delivered by $ALGO, such as the Aid Trust Portal for tracing humanitarian aid payments (supported by NGOs including @UN and praised by both @Mastercard and @Visa), the Global Chess Passport for DiDs, a game changer for 600M+ players, Liquid Auth (a decentralized alternative to @WalletConnect), etc. 🟢 There have never been as many on-chain @USDC transactions on Algorand as in 2025 (cc @circle). 🟢 Many ASAs in the ecosystem are performing extremely well (@alphaarcade, @FolksFinance, etc.) 🟢 Big companies like Lavazza have never used Algorand as much as they did in 2025. 🟢 VersaBank is currently testing tokenized deposits on $ALGO, could be the biggest blockchain-based use case. 🟢 Never any downtime or block production halts, while processing 3.3B+ transactions since launch, including over 800M in the past year alone. 🟢 No forks. It's mathematically improbable. 🟢 Still probably one of the most accessible blockchains for individual participation in consensus, as running a validator node requires only a standard computer and a minimum stake of 0.1 $ALGO. 🟢 Native key features directly on L1 (atomic swaps, rekeyable accounts, etc.) that you can't find elsewhere. 🟢 The roadmap from @AlgoFoundation is perfectly on track and delivered quickly. 🟢 The economic sustainability of Algorand is a major focus, and important discussions will take place soon to secure the chain's future, this is highly positive. 🟢 The decentralized xGov platform is now live, allowing builders to obtain funding to build on $ALGO. 🟢 Likely the best $USDC off-ramp you can find in crypto with @PeraAlgoWallet Card (instant settlement on Algorand, usable everywhere Mastercard is accepted), now available in 12 countries so far. 🟢 Top-tier new @AlgoFoundation CTO with @nbougalis, who basically built $XRPL. 🟢 It's now easier and easier for devs to build on Algorand (native Python + TypeScript for writing smart contracts), huge work from @algodevs. 🟢 Still one of the leading chains in RWAs, with top protocols across many sectors (fractional real estate like with @lofty_ai, @reity, @vestaequityvpm...), music catalogs, agricultural commodities, etc... and even renewable-energy parcels from @EnelGroup, one of the biggest electricity producers in the world, making access to green energy available without needing to install any physical equipment at home. 🟢 Perps are finally coming to Algorand thanks to @ULTRADE_org, bringing all the capabilities of top perp DEXs like Hyperliquid. 🟢 Algorand is finally becoming less isolated from other chains, with more interoperability coming through @wormhole NTT first, and soon @Allbridge_io for a cross-chain stablecoin bridge. 🟢 Always more real-world use cases with real impact, like @wtrtoken (water-credit issuance gaining adoption worldwide) or @HesabPay_ expanding to other countries while remaining the #1 digital payment app in Afghanistan, used daily by thousands of people who pay without even knowing they're interacting with a blockchain (btw, 1/3 of ALL electricity bills in Afghanistan are paid on Algorand). 🟢 The number of open-source developers on $ALGO hit an ATH. 🟢 I've never seen so many startups launching recently to build on Algorand (cc @ganainmtech). 🟢 Massive recent strategic educational events (hackathons, workshops, etc.) with top partners like @easya_app and @riseinweb3. 🟢 Algorand fits absolutely ANY major crypto narrative for the coming months/years (agentic commerce, RWAs, post quantum resistance, US blockchain, etc...) Etc, etc. I could keep this list going for a long time! Ⱥcellerate.

A year ago, people were saying everything would be tokenized. Most dismissed it as hype. Kraken just added 11,000+ U.S. stocks and ETFs to their desktop app. How do I know? I got an email directly from Kraken, see my demo. Commission free. Trade them 24/5 right alongside your crypto in the same workspace. No waiting for the opening bell. Nasdaq partnered with Kraken to make tokenized and traditional shares interchangeable. Both settle through the same Depository Trust. A tokenized TSLA and a brokerage TSLA become the same thing. Nasdaq also filed with the SEC in September 2025 to list tokenized stocks directly on the Nasdaq exchange, right next to traditional shares. If that goes through, tokenized equities aren't just on crypto platforms. They're on Wall Street's main stage. On Kraken here's how it works under the hood. Kraken's xStocks are tokenized versions of real stocks. Each token backed 1 to 1 by the actual share held in custody. You keep voting rights and dividends. These trade 24/7, weekends and holidays included. On chain settlement is atomic, the trade either completes in full or it doesn't execute. No partial fills, no waiting for next day settlement. The wall between Wall Street and crypto isn't crumbling. It's being removed by Wall Street itself. This is the proof. And it's only the beginning. #Crypto #Tokenization #Nasdaq

It's funny, but it also illustrates how ridiculously bloated modern software has become. Windows 11 is about 150 times larger than the first floppy disk based edition of Windows 95 while fundamentally offering the same functionality and being subjectively just as slow, if not slower. If order of magnitude advances in hardware specs had not been eaten up by at least matching inefficiency increases in operating systems and applications, we could have mainstream operating systems that perform a cold boot in less than a second, update themselves in seconds, and applications that start instantaneously. PCs are hundreds or thousands of times faster today than in 1995, depending on how you measure, but all that increase in raw performance has been wasted on bloat and enshittification.

It’s the offering to slash governance JUST before providing a proposal that has the feature included. We should be discussing things like this during the previous proposal. This isn’t a “oh hey btw” kind of situation. Even now I have to crawl the gitlab myself to even know what’s coming in the U proposal. Not a word about CLST on TezosAgora for example. No shortening of governance cycles until this is addressed in earnest.

FAFO Bakery is a hard NO on the Tezos Protocol U governance changes. Slashing the cycle from 70 to 28 days is a terrible idea. You do not fix garbage communication by giving us less time to read the proposals. 🧵👇
Nomadic Labs@LabosNomades

We’re sharing an approach to simplify on-chain governance in the Tezos protocol, intended for inclusion in a future protocol proposal. The goal: faster, more nimble governance, simpler for bakers to manage, without compromising safety guarantees or decentralized decision-making.
