And yet, I will bet my entire net worth that Palantir would rather hire the Ivy League grad than the guy who worked in the oil rig and went to night school community college and then a commuter university.
Jawwwn@jawwwn_

Palantir CEO Alex Karp on Zohran Mandani voters: “The average Ivy League grad voting for this mayor is annoyed their education is not that valuable—and that the person who knows how to drill for oil has a more valuable profession.” “That annoys the fuck out of these people.”

@Etherealize_io @pmarca Mark makes a great point all super rich people give agents access to their bank accounts. I like how he synthesizes his deep understanding of finance with a bunch of garbage that doesn’t myany sense. Everything this man says is just intellectually dishonest

Marc Andreessen: “This is the grand unification of AI and crypto” “I think AI is the killer crypto app… It’s now obvious that AI agents are going to need money. It’s already happening.” Marc explains: “My friends, who are the most aggressive users of OpenClaw, have given their Claws bank accounts and credit cards. And not only have they done it, but it’s obvious that they needed to do it… It’s just completely obvious. The number of people who have done that today is, I don’t know, probably 5,000 or or something. But it will grow. That’s how these things start.” Source: @latentspacepod @a16z (Apr 2026)

Wow, some people think this is about them. If I wanted to comment on ppl, I would directly. No so here goes. TIPS real yields are a function of breakevens. The latter has an R^2 of 0 with actual inflation. case in point: 1y cpi swaps 2% right now. Useless market.

In my 21 years of working in finance, I can tell you without hesitation that the dumbest and most useless market you will ever encounter is the TIPS market. You can trade it like anything else, but if you take signals from it means you have an IQ of 0.

Jersey Mike’s isn’t just a sandwich shop. It’s a franchise royalty machine with better unit economics than most people realize. At an $8B valuation, the growth story still looks compelling. Capitalism works when owners, operators, and employees all win. #IPO #BusinessGrowth

These takes are ret@rded 1. If you get paid more doing salary, all the commission guys would go to the salary bank 2. All the BB “flow” isn’t yours, it’s the firms. You get your wage, wagie. 3. Commission guys are head hunted by BBs constantly cuz we are actual salesman
G@GorillaGary1520

@FICMBondTrader You really trying to say a seat at a eat what you kill shop is better than one at GS or JPM. What are you smoking? The amount of flow that comes through the desk at a bulge bracket is insane. Bonus will be 7 figs easy.

The issue is that all of that data still winds up in Bitcoin. Op return isn’t even the cheapest place to put it, it’s just historically the least harmful place to put it (that’s why it exists). All of this fork discussion is basically a debate about which bucket to put spam into, since there isn’t a proposal on the table to materially reduce spam or materially increase the cost of the cheapest method to spam. That’s why I didn’t bother to talk about it over the past year. And I’d see tweets regularly tagging me asking why I’m not talking about it, people claiming it’s the biggest thing and I’m not talking about it (it’s not the biggest thing. I had little reason to talk about a fork with low consensus that doesn’t materially reduce spam.) I have people emailing asking me if Bitcoin is going to die if a fork that just mildly re-arranges where spam goes doesn’t pass (because they somehow think it stops spam, and its leading proponents have called spam an emergency in need of a rapid fix). Then I’m asked about it on a podcast. So I explained that it’s not an emergency, the fork doesn’t materially stop spam, it comes with some trade-offs, bitcoin is fine, it’s always worth exploring ways to optimize bitcoin for the future, etc. Then I get dozens of replies from fork proponents asking if I’m compromised, why do I like spam, why don’t I want to stop spam, etc. Most of them (not all) have playground-grade ad hominems attached as well. It’s mostly not their fault though; they’ve been whipped into a frenzy by people saying if they don’t pass this fork then bitcoin dies. I support people trying to fork if they want to. Bitcoin needs market tests once in a while. But if people ask me my opinion about this fork’s technical merits, the marketing around it, or its probability of becoming consensus, I’ll give my opinion.

ScarcityMan 🚀 BIP-110@ScarcityMan·
Feels like you haven't been listening or understanding the debate, or maybe you're captured too. This isn't difficult: BIP-110 stops official arbitrary data storage. Anything else is a lie. Bitcoin, only has ONE place for official arbitrary data storage in transactions, called OP_RETURN. Restrict that, and you restrict the official ability to store porn on bitcoin. Ramming it in somewhere else with steganographic attacks or via code exploits, are NOT supported uses of bitcoin and are therefore subject to fixes later. We stop OFFICIAL exploits now, and then work on the rest, iteratively. Which part of this is not clear? I welcome the discussion. Seriously. I'm a BIP-110 supporter. I'm reaching outside of my echo chamber. Prove me wrong.
Lyn Alden@LynAldenContact

@Bongo_King1 I sympathize with those who are concerned about spam on bitcoin, but I’d invite you to look around and see that you’re in an echo chamber that makes a minority fork (which doesn’t solve the issue) feel like the majority.

@ZynxBTC Good intuition. I’m also surprised more companies aren’t blending cash flows with bitcoin. For this vehicle, it took a while to structure it properly and bring it to market. Began all the way back in April 2025.

Private equity generally aims to buy businesses, cut costs, and flip them in 4-7 years for a profit. As an alternative, we started a company to buy and hold businesses, and back them up with a bitcoin treasury: lynalden.com/orange-juice/

JPMorgan CEO just lost $6 billion on one trade - under oath he told Congress he should be fired for it "I call it bankruptcy for big dumb banks - fire the board, wipe out the shareholders, bury the name in disgrace" he kept his job as CEO of JPMorgan and trading billions everyday - this is him under oath telling Congress how banks should die the $6 billion vanished on one trade from a single trader in London - "the London Whale" - his bet got so big it moved the whole market against JPMorgan Dimon had personally killed the risk controls that would've caught it - "there was complacency and overconfidence" then Congress asked how to stop the next collapse - and instead of defending banks, he attacked them "the cost should fall on the other big banks - never the taxpayer" this is the only time the most powerful banker in America stood under oath and said his own kind should be allowed to die bookmark & watch today ↓

Goldman Sachs Vice Chairman gave students the exact 10 skills he uses to make Fortune 500 CEOs call him first he advises the richest people in America - Trump wanted him as the #2 at the Treasury here are the rules: → 4:58 -read the front page of the Wall Street Journal 10 minutes, 3 times a week → 6:05 -never seek to avoid conflict — "the people across the table have adverse interests" → 7:19 -"you'll get calls at 2, 3, 4 in the morning — return them fast" → 7:56 -put your ego aside — find the best person in the room and study them → 28:46 - "the best advice you can give a client is: don't do this deal, terminate me" → 30:22 - when a client makes an impossible demand: "I won't do that to you, you're too important" this is the masterclass Fortune 500 CEOs pay Goldman millions for ↓

The Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constituion says the government can't take your property without due process and just compensation. Then they invented fiat and inflation. No due process. No compensation. Just a quiet 5% annual haircut on everything you worked for while the Fed holds a press conference and calls it healthy. Bitcoin is the Fifth Amendment with teeth. They can't print it. They can't seize it. They can't dilute it. Your money. Your rules. Bitcoin is constitutional money.

Most people think Bitcoin was invented to make money. Wrong. Bitcoin is money. It was built to solve one specific problem: how do two parties transact without trusting a third party?
