Mailchimp sat idly while ConvertKit, Substack, and Klaviyo partitioned its base.
One of the great errors was to assume that email would forever remain a brand marketing channel. Mailchimp doesn’t care about publishers.
Meanwhile, email is the fastest growing media channel.
