at this point (in the never-ending debacle of Tshisekedi doing everything to stymie the peace process in DRC) it’s become glaringly obvious: the US is determined to pursue a double standard. It has announced sanctions against the Rwandan military, and some Rwandan military officers - because Rwanda will not stop defending its own borders! Now it also has sanctioned former DRC president, Joseph Kabila (allegedly because of ties to M23). Remember, Congolese ruler Felix Tshisekedi has declared Kabila - his predecessor - a mortal enemy, even sentenced him to death in absentia. why? Simply because Kabila has spoken out against Tshisekedi’s misrule, and his divisive, dangerous policies, of which targeting in a whole community of Congolese in an ethnic cleansing campaign. @US_SrAdvisorAF isn’t it odd, all this one-sided sanctioning of everyone, but Tshisekedi, who in fact is the one real source of endless conflict in his country ? When has the US even threatened to sanction him for, for instance, signing agreements, then completely reneging on everything? When will Tshisekedi be questioned about sponsoring terrorist militias destabilizing all neighboring countries? Incredible that the guy that sentences former presidents to death, massacres thousands, sponsors terrorist militias, is the one being mollycoddled. Looking at you @StateDept

He had said, “A swift and decisive response,” and they sneered! From the fall of #Goma to the present day, what President Félix Tshisekedi has done to save our country deserves to be taught in schools. While many, even in Kinshasa, were already packing their bags—Corneille Nangaa, who envisioned himself back in #Kinshasa by June 2025, and Moïse Katumbi, who amused himself by believing that any strategic agreement with the United States was just a pipe dream—the President managed to secure a UN resolution condemning #Rwanda and demanding the withdrawal of its troops. Then, he succeeded in binding Paul Kagame to the Washington Accords, all while forging a strategic partnership with the #USA. Meanwhile, cornered, Kagame forced Joseph Kabila to return to direct operations in Goma. But Tshisekedi persisted. He secured the withdrawal of Rwandan troops from Uvira, followed by unprecedented US sanctions against the Rwandan army. Today, Kabila is sanctioned by the United States, which also confirms the legality of the trial in Kinshasa that sentenced him to death. The political, military, and diplomatic implications of these achievements should be taught in universities. Félix Tshisekedi is accomplishing this while simultaneously building more than 10 international airports, hundreds of schools, universities, and hospitals, increasing the Congolese franc's value by over 28% against the dollar, significantly raising military pay, and so on. If the debate in this country were serious and honest, it would lead us to examine these remarkable feats. Because when you consider the international context—COVID-19, the war in Ukraine, and tensions in the Middle East—economists know that what is happening here in the #DRC is nothing short of miraculous. written by @LitsaniChoukran le Fondé 💪 @POTUS @PaulKagame @UrugwiroVillage #RDC @RwandaMoD @CNangaa @FelixUdps @MartinFayulu @moise_katumbi @SauvonslaRdc1 @wakeup243 @AugustinKabuyaT @PatrickMuyaya @SuminwaJudith @Presidence_RDC @PresidencyZA @FARDC_officiel

🇨🇩 The Congolese diaspora is calling the world to account. COMEX – International Think Tank has just submitted an official memorandum to Donald Trump, Rubio, the UN, the AU and the EU. Subject: the sanctions targeting former President Kabila. Sanctions without independent evidence are politics - not justice. Joseph Kabila who reunified the country and achieved the first peaceful transfer of power in Congolese history deserves respect or a fair process before the international community. We demand: → A transparent and independent review of the sanctions → Full respect for the Constitution → An inclusive national dialogue 📄 Full memorandum: comex-thinktank.org #DRC #Congo #Sanctions #Kabila #Sovereignty #Diaspora @realDonaldTrump @SecRubio @US_SrAdvisorAF @_AfricanUnion @EUCouncil @SADC_News @jumuiya

The U.S. has sanctioned Joseph Kabila for ties and involvement with the M23 Movement and the Congo River Alliance. A significant step; but it also raises a bigger question: Will sanctions be applied consistently to all actors involved? Including @PaulKagame, whose government has been backing M23 and deploying the #Rwanda Defence Force in eastern #DRC; committing acts of aggression. home.treasury.gov/news/press-rel…

🚨 BREAKING: The US just sanctioned former DRC President Joseph Kabila for backing M23 rebels and Rwandan forces in eastern Congo! 🇨🇩 This is huge. The US Treasury has frozen Kabila’s access to the international financial system. Any accounts, assets, or transactions linked to him including SWIFT payments are now blocked. usnews.com He can no longer easily finance the war in eastern DRC or funnel money to support the conflict. This directly hits the financial lifelines that have allegedly sustained M23 operations and its backers. Many see it as a major blow to the RDF-M23 alliance in the region. home.treasury.gov Peace in eastern Congo just got a powerful new weapon: financial isolation.

From denying and minimizing the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda to openly whitewashing the crimes of the genocidal militia FDLR, Onana has made a career out of distorting history and defending the indefensible. On December 9, 2024, a Paris court convicted Charles Onana for denying and minimizing the Genocide Against the Tutsi. This crime claimed the lives of more than one million innocent Tutsi in Rwanda. Rather than reflecting on the gravity of his actions, Onana has chosen to intensify his campaign of misinformation by now acting as an apologist for the FDLR. During an interview with ORMETA, Onana shamelessly attempted to sanitize the image of the FDLR by claiming that the group has nothing to do with the deaths of “millions of Congolese” and bears no responsibility for the widespread sexual violence in eastern DRC. ellenkampire.com/2026/04/29/con…

@africans816671 There's no tribe called banyamulenge in the DRC. They're tutsi from rwanda and they speak Kinyarwanda (Kihutu). The term "banyamulenge" has always been an attempt to conceal the fact that it's the same people. Babembe = Kibembe Bayindu = Kinyindu Bahutu = Kihutu

Did you know that in Minembwe there are different tribes Banyamulenge, Babembe, Bafuliiru, Banyindu, and Bashi? So when people claim that out of all these five tribes, only the Banyamulenge are being targeted, that’s simply not true. In a conflict like this, it’s impossible to affect one group without impacting others. But here’s the question: why is it that only the Banyamulenge are speaking out, while the other four tribes remain overlooked? Does that mean South Kivu belongs only to them? What about the Babembe, Bafuliiru, Banyindu, and Bashi communities that have lived there long before? Do their lives suddenly not matter? This is how narratives are pushed and twisted. The truth is, every community matters. Every life matters. And no single group should claim ownership over a land shared by many.

Honestly, Rwanda is going downhill so fast it feels like a comedy show. They hosted a volleyball tournament in Kigali, but when they realized hardly any countries showed up, they said, “No problem!” and brought in the military to fill the stands. At this point, even the crowd is on active duty. In Rwanda, it’s like you can’t organize anything without the military being involved sports, events, probably even birthday parties. No wonder the USA ended up sanctioning them… they might’ve thought the volleyball team was a special forces unit 😅
