One thing that deeply worries me about Nigeria is this: Some dreams are almost impossible to achieve if you're born, raised, and educated here. Want to become an astronaut? There is virtually no pathway. Want to become a world-class professional footballer? For most talented children, the route is far harder than it should be because the development ecosystem is weak. And there are many other careers where your biggest obstacle isn't your talent, it's your geography. This is why some Nigerians have to leave the country, not because they hate Nigeria, but because that's the only way to fully pursue their dreams. That should concern all of us. A child's future should be determined by their ability and hard work, not by the accident of where they were born. Nigeria has no shortage of talent. What we're missing is a system that allows talent to become greatness.

People migrate mostly for economic reasons - Argentina's economic situation is worse than Sudan's. One thing I noticed while studying countries with some of the world's best public education systems is this: In Germany, many public office holders confidently enroll their children in public schools because they trust the system. In Nigeria, most public office holders enroll their children in private schools or in schools abroad while the public schools they oversee continue to deteriorate. That has to stop. You cannot build a world-class public education system when the people responsible for it have no personal stake in its success. Imagine the speed of reform if every governor, commissioner, local government chairman, legislator, and senior public official knew their own children would sit in those same classrooms, learn from those same teachers, and use those same facilities. Nothing creates accountability faster than shared consequences.

Today, the T.N. The facility features a 60-computer CBT centre, 24/7 internet access, a physical library, an 80-seat conference hall, and three dedicated workstations. This is the kind of investment in education that transforms lives and creates opportunities for generations to come. JUST IN: Femi Gbajabiamila reportedly forged a law, used it to collect ₦54bilion from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), claiming it was an order from Pres. Tinubu. Bayo Onanuga backs him. He allegedly demanded 4% of NUPRC’s revenue, to be split into two. 2.5% and 1.5%, the latter will be for “upgrading of crude oil and gas metering and transparency systems” — this doesn’t exist in this context. It was his way of illegally collecting the money to himself. Gbaja assumed office as Chief of Staff in June 2023. The incident occurred in July 2023, just weeks after Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in. Bayo Onanuga insists the money was not illegal and that it was released under a lawful order from the President. Which is concerning, because the President does not have the legal authority to issue such orders. Apparently, the Presidential Chief of Staff also reached out to FIRS, NIMASA and Nigerian Customs with similar tactics.
