Abolish Proposed Toll Charge for the Blackwall Tunnel! chng.it/c2bsK4bt via @UKChange
Recent closure weekends mimic how traffic will behave to avoid tolls. Densely-populated areas, historic areas will be overwhelmed by tailbacks of idling engines avoidng tolls.

@sumolaw @_CalvinDavis London went through this a bit in the 90s - there were incentives for large firms to move out to new provincial campuses / business parks, so for a time, both worker spend and jobs in London were reduced, and large premises stood empty. Then came a boom, and then, 2008 crash...
English

@_CalvinDavis I think some companies bound to move some ops out of town. but I don’t think full time wfh is likely. For me, I want to go back and if I could walk or cycle I would. If government want people back I think they need incentives like seen with restaurants eg heavily discounted fares

I think we have to recognise why so many reluctant to return to office in London is down to the long commute on public transport. If I’m a worker who can work effectively from home what’s benefit of sitting in a mask on train for 2+ hours every day, paying expensive rail fares

@alexa_md @MalteOfficial @British_Airways Couldn't agree more. Even the website - which used to be a breeze for frequent flyers, really efficient - is now a total pain - a real hindrance. The cost-cutting is blatant and I doubt it's attracting many 'lo-cost' travellers anyway, because the fares are not low !
English

@MalteOfficial @British_Airways Amen to that. I've been flying BA every 2 weeks either European or TransAtlantic for 5 years & have been a Silver frequent flyer for a number of years. Past couple of years BA has made great efforts to cut costs & follow a low cost airline model and the quality drop is HUGE!
