NCERT regrets publishing text book containing chapter on judicial corruption. NCERT says it will rewrite the chapter. The development came after the #SupremeCourt expressed displeasure over the text book content.

@ShamikaRavi Respected Prof, we agree: abolishing RERA is not the solution. The law is sound. However, we must understand the SC's frustration when it passes such remarks since it sees distressed HBs daily—life savings gone, no possession, no refunds.

Research shows that RERA has been a net positive for Indian real estate - more transparency, buyer protection and investor confidence. There is no strong empirical evidence suggesting the Act has caused systemic harm that outweighs its benefits. RERA is institutionally sound but operationally uneven. The rational reform path is strengthening, not scrapping. Abolishing it would dismantle regulatory progress.

Few home buyers are at 75+, retired persons and still no mercy on them by SC. Builder violated SC order to give possession and terminated agreement illegally and SC not showing mercy. Dear Home Buyers of Mantri Serenity Apartment, BESCOM issued notice on 11.02.2026 to Promoters to get Lift Approval in 15 days, else power disconnection. Why don't promoters get Lift approval for the safety of residents? Home buyers paid Crores of Rupees. @KA_HomeBuyers

Shutting down RERA is not the solution. RERA is a Central Govts Act approved by peoples representatives and implemented as a law of the country. Honorable Supreme Court must set Strict Time Bound Disposal of cases in RERA, High Court and SC and Penalty for Judges if not complied.
