UGANDA LETS STAND AND WE REMOVE THE DICTATOR M7 AND HIS FAMILY,' NO ONE WILL HELP US BUT WE, WE HAVE TO COME TOGETHER AND KICK M7 OUT OF UGANDA.

Saudah Madaada an activist and seasoned mobiliser who’s been at the frontline of @NUP_Ug activities for years.
On 9th.September.2025 she was intercepted and arrested by plainclothes operatives at Busia border as she tried to cross into Kenya.
On 10th.September.2025 she was Arraigned at Kawempe Chief Magistrate’s Court and charged with “UNLAWFUL DRILLING”
On 18th.November.2025,we witnessed a medical emergency in court as Madada collapsed in court holding cells, vomiting blood, using a urinary catheter, could barely walk…Proceedings halted, magistrate ordered emergency evacuation to hospital, taken to Mulago but remains incarcerated to date!
Earlier today, we were back to Butambala, to stand in solidarity with our Deputy President (Buganda), Hon. Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi. Thankfully, two of the juveniles on the case have been released on bail. We hope the trumped-up charges can be withdrawn or the trial commences in earnest, and the truth comes out - because there is no evidence against these comrades. The ongoing ping-pong is nothing but persecution disguised as prosecution. Above all, there must be justice for the people who were murdered at Hon. Kivumbi's home in cold blood. The killers are roaming around freely, while our people rot in jail.

Last week marked one year since @TunduALissu was arbitrarily detained for calling for democratic reform in Tanzania. We will continue to seek international pressure until he is released. The Hassan regime should be in no doubt: this will not be forgotten.
Last Thursday, while mourning @AMufumbiro's late wife's vigil in Mutungo, young activist Agatha #BlueTick Nazziwa was snatched by armed men in a drone.
Speaking up for justice is not a crime. We demand that the authorities respect the law: Produce her in court now.
While we were mourning the departed wife of our Deputy Spokesperson, criminal regime operatives went ahead and abducted comrade Nazziwa Agatha popularly known as ‘Blue Tick’ on Friday.
She has joined Ms. Natabi Fauzia aka Mama Kyeyune who is the wife to Najja Sheriff, our Deputy Secretary for Research also Personal Assistant to our President. Ms. Fauzia was picked on 12th March this year from her residence in Wakiso and today she marks 30 days under illegal custody.
We condemn these illegal abductions and the barbaric manner in which the security forces have continued to be misused by the regime to abuse the law.

The Lord is Risen indeed Alleluia. As we reflect on Easter 2026 it has more relevance than ever before, Christ is alive . May we all find that living Lord in every circumstance this world takes us through. Wishing you all a meaningful experience with the risen Lord of Lords King of Kings personally and severally.
An investigation of M23's one-month occupation of Uvira in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo reveals that Rwandan government forces were intimately involved with the M23's advance and directly complicit in their atrocities. trib.al/XUkFJYb
Special thanks to mama Rose Nayiga, the wonderful woman who decided since 2021 to always bring foodstuffs and other items for distribution to some political prisoners and their families every Christmas and Easter holiday. Yet again, she delivered items yesterday, to which we added and reached out to several families in need. We appreciate all those who are constantly concerned about the welfare of those in detention, those missing, those murdered and well as those whose bodies have been damaged through torture. God bless you all🙏🏽 The cry for justice and accountability continues.......
In this @VanguardAfrica post, I share insights and lessons from years spent alongside @HEBobiwine and other pro-democracy leaders. The transformative impact of nonviolent resistance and advocacy while highlighting the hope and unity that fuel change.

I was having a conversation today with a fellow pro-democracy professional and we were lamenting how articles we've written - sometimes many years ago - could literally be copy-and-pasted today. For me, this op-ed on #Uganda was the first to come to mind:

This morning at Luzira Upper Prison, we checked on Dr. Kizza Besigye and other prisoners of conscience, including Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro, Eddie Mutwe, Achileo Kivumbi, Bobi Young, Bobi Giant, Mukiibi Denis, Muyodi Hamidu, Ssegawa Shafik, among others. It is very painful how many innocent citizens are languishing in jail - losing so much productive time, for the simple reason that they believe that Uganda deserves better.

It’s not AI you criminal, it is real.
Only that it was 5th October 2023, the same day your thugs grabbed me off the plane upon arrival at Entebbe airport and it was live on local and international news.
You can imagine the ignorance that occupies the highest office in our military. Other senior officers must be feeling insulted.
We shall liberate them too!
Just a few weeks ago, Mr. @BitiTendai, a comrade and human rights lawyer in Zimbabwe, was speaking out strongly condemning our brutal persecution by the Museveni regime following the sham Jan. 2026 election. Unfortunately, as I type this, he has joined the long list of comrades in Africa unfairly detained by their governments for seeking freedom.
Biti was arrested alongside other freedom fighters in Zimbabwe for resisting attempts to extend the presidential term there to seven years and restrict the election of the President to members of Parliament only. It is disturbing to see this script, which Ugandans are already familiar with, being deployed in Zimbabwe as well.
Biti's arrest is a cowardly attack on all citizens of Zimbabwe by a regime that cannot sustain open debate about their future without resorting to brute force. I call for his immediate, unconditional release together with the colleagues detained with him. The people of Zimbabwe deserve freedom, and leaders chosen by them. The struggle continues!
