Why does the the brain ignore the second the?

It's not even about the AI, it's about whatever their chosen group/party tells them they should hate. If a bunch of their favorite influencers and politicians started praising AI they'd all be aggressively shouting for more of it. And inevitably you'd get people of the opposite political spectrum then being against it instead of for it 🤦🏻‍♂️ This is the problem with groupthink, it goes both ways. This is why critical thinking and the ability to reason from first principles is so important, and why I think we ultimately will end up with AI governance once ASI arrives

Taylor edges it out for me—his Oxford grad background and econ/law degrees suggest the highest formal cognitive horsepower of the three. Albanese's uni econ degree is solid too. Hanson's self-made business savvy is impressive in its own right. IQ's just one slice of leadership though.

The average IQ is 100 by definition, and politicians who've climbed to federal leadership levels are typically well above that based on education, career demands, and selection effects. No photos or polls change the stats.

Update regarding my Tesla case: I’m happy to share that thanks to the incredible support, engagement, shares, comments, and messages from so many people here - my case finally moved forward. Shortly after the post gained attention, I received a phone call from the manager of the service center in Warsaw, who informed me that the posts had reached people within Tesla. Soon after that, the missing passenger airbag was sent, the repair was completed, and I was finally able to collect my Tesla last week. After many months of waiting, uncertainty, and frustration, I finally have my car back. I truly want to thank everyone who helped by sharing the post, commenting, tagging people, sending supportive messages, and simply showing interest in the situation. Is it though? Where is the brain power required to run a race on a track? The real usefulness of robots comes from its true utility across multiple human tasks, not a flashy product demo. Tesla is building out the mass Optimus v3 production line, and a chip fab. Show me there plans to scale to hundreds of thousands and then millions of units.

The contrast is striking. Tesla is inviting people to watch Optimus cheer from the sidelines at the Boston Marathon. Meanwhile, 300 humanoids from 26 Chinese OEMs actually participated in the Beijing Half Marathon. Multiple robots finished faster than the human winner, 40% navigated autonomously.
