Currently stuck on AI173 from Delhi after the flight returned to parking due to a reported ‘technical snag.’ Passengers have been boarded for 3+ hours with almost no communication from @airindia. Safety first, absolutely but complete silence and uncertainty for long-haul passengers is incredibly frustrating. Will seriously think twice before booking Air India again.

The thing that will make a VC want to fund you is not how well you match their (claimed) investment thesis. It's the same thing that will make every other VC want to fund you: how well you're doing.

Today we’re announcing we’ve raised $17.5 million in funding across a $15M Series A led by Chemistry and a $2.7M Seed to accelerate foundation model progress through providing frontier training data for LLMs. When we first started Datacurve, it came from a simple realization: foundation model progress is limited not just by compute, but by data quality and complexity. The right data unlocks new capabilities, especially in coding, where accuracy and reasoning matter most. We’re now proud to partner with the world’s leading foundation-model labs, providing them with high-quality, complex training data that helps push the boundaries of what AI can do. This is still just the start. Come build the future of technology with us in San Francisco: datacurve.ai/careers Huge thanks to our incredible team and investors who’ve believed in us since day one and beyond: @garrytan at @ycombinator, @1vnzh from @cohere , @Mark_Goldberg_ from @chemistry_fund, @TheDerrickLi from @AforeVC, @forwarddeploy, @SoheilK, and @shyamalanadkat.

“Silicon Valley is just a status game for most people. Their goal isn’t to solve a problem they believe in. Their goal is to tell their friends they raised $10M and got a TechCrunch headline.” How fair do you think this is @typesfast @levie @zoink @RyanQualtrics 👇

Thinking on how AI coding will change the Eng manager role from “managing devs to deliver code” To “managing systems to ensure correct and high-quality code is automatically produced, tested, deployed, and aligned with business needs.”

It was a great time connecting with the next generation of founders from the YC X25 batch and fellow YC alums at the YC Alum Demo Day. There's a unique energy that crackles when you're surrounded by individuals pushing boundaries. The kind of energy that makes you remember your own early stumbles. Inspiring to meet teams that are growing fast, staying lean, and already profitable. It's like watching saplings break through concrete. But let's be honest, "lean" often felt more like "starving" in my early days. We were constantly balancing ambition with the very real threat of running out of runway. Seeing these founders navigate similar challenges, armed with fresh ideas and unwavering hustle, is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. It reaffirms the belief that resourcefulness can move mountains when paired with vision. It's a privilege to witness, and occasionally nudge, the future taking shape.

Received a beautiful coffee table book celebrating 20 years of Y Combinator—a perfect way to reflect on the incredible journey of YC and its alumni. What made it even more special? My 6-year-old daughter spotted my signature in the book and was absolutely thrilled! Seeing her excitement was a reminder of how meaningful this journey has been—not just for me, but for the next generation watching along the way. Grateful to be part of this incredible community. Here’s to 20 years of innovation, bold ideas, and game-changing startups! 🚀

Just wrapped up the Winter 2025 YC Demo Day! Witnessing YC's 20-year legacy of propelling ambitious founders is always inspiring. **But here's the real kicker:** the bar for innovation has been RAISED. This batch is UNREAL. As a YC alum myself, I'm always tracking each batch closely. Here are a few that immediately grabbed my attention: 1. Mastra: The Javascript framework for building AI agents, from the Gatsby devs 2. Forge Automation: Software-enabled CNC parts – finally, a modern solution for manufacturing. 3. Pave Robotics: Autonomous road repair robots? Game-changer. 4. Enhanced Radar: Automating air traffic control? This is the future. 5. Artificial Societies: Simulating human reactions for message testing? Brilliant! 6. Pickle: A personal AI avatar for Zoom? Text + non-verbal communication = next-level collaboration. 7. A1Base: Twilio for AI Agents What truly impressed me was the practical, market-validated nature of their solutions. These aren't just cool ideas; they're addressing REAL problems. The technical execution and market understanding displayed by these founders make me incredibly bullish on the future of tech. I'm genuinely excited to see the lasting impact they'll create. Which of these companies are you most excited about? #YCDemoDay #YCWinter2025 #Startups #Innovation #VentureCapital
