@peters_malcolm Missed the part where you plundered the nations treasury to provide yourselves with tax benefits that distorted the economy.

I love the current targeting of baby boomers generating wealth. I can tell anyone who wants to listen it was not easy. We started with nothing , worked daylight to dark 7 days a week. If young people want to accumulate wealth they might halve to do the same.

@Dannythe_Degen Mate, you don’t even know what the tax rules are. Nobody in Australia pays an average tax rate of 47%. Take some time out from your boomer rage and educate yourself on how the tax system works.

The Australian government is going to take 47% of my income and my capital gains and give it to someone who doesn’t want to work. And this will make it easier for me to buy a house.

@gopatriotgirl @EricLDaugh You do realise that getting screwed by trump doesn’t cancel out your feelings that you got screwed by Biden, right? You are just getting screwed twice. He is stealing from taxpayers with zero oversight and you are happy with this?

🚨 JUST IN: President Trump is DROPPING his $10 billion lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service in exchange for a $1.776 billion COMPENSAITON FUND for those wrongly targeted and prosecuted by the Biden admin — ABC 47 scoring ANOTHER WIN! 🔥 And he did it for Americans who were wronged 🇺🇸 The lawsuit was originally filed after a government contractor admitted to stealing Trump's and other wealthy Americans' tax info, and leaking it to media outlets in 2019-2020

@SenatorCash Yay. Can’t wait for a tax cut while spending remains the same. Why don’t you go for broke and say you’ll have zero debt by 2029 too.

Senator the Hon. Michaelia Cash
Labor handed Australians a Budget full of higher taxes, more debt and zero hope. Last night, Angus Taylor tore it apart. No more taxing you into the ground for daring to get ahead. No more flooding the country with people while your kids can't afford a home. No more handing welfare to people who haven't committed to this country. No more burning through your money and calling it progress.   Our plan is simple: cut taxes, build homes, cap migration and back Australians.   Labor has failed you. We won't.

@rationalaussie The great trickle down delusion. If the rich get richer everyone will benefit. In fact, they normally just hoard their inherited wealth and try to tilt the playing field further in their favour.

The normie view on the Budget is 'if this makes Australia a fairer place for everyone, I'm all for it'. These people cannot be saved. Literal NPCs. The future belongs to the Great Men of history who pull everyone and everything up with them. NPCs everywhere.

The replies from Boomers on this one prove the point better than the tweet itself ever could. "Just work harder" yeah mate, working harder doesn't make a $1.2M median house price in Sydney affordable on $75k a year. The maths doesn't math.
Greeny@greenytrades

Aussie Boomers: Free uni. Cheap houses. Negative gearing. 50% CGT discount. Aussies Now: HECS debt. 10x salary house prices. No negative gearing. No CGT discount. Don't ask why young Aussies are angry. Ask why it took us this long.

I'm running numbers on family trusts. If the trust owned by mum, dad, and 19-year-old daughter earns $180,000 a year and they distribute $60,000 to each the tax will be three times $9,000 = $27000. At 30% flat, it's $54,000. That's double - The only way out is to change distributions to wages, but they must be able to justify the wage. It's a shameful attack on business

Australia is a country where if you win $500k on an 8 leg multi on SportsBet you won't have to pay any tax, but if you sell your business for $500k you'll have to give the government half. What are we incentivising here? How fucking retarded do you have to be to run your country this way?

This is Emily (hypothetical). She is 22 years old and works part time at a supermarket while at uni, she is very frugal and puts most of her pay into index fund ETF's. When she sells those she will be slugged at 30% minimum capital gains tax, despite being a low income earner.

You and your team start, and work in, a business. You put $250k in to get it to break-even. After a decade of blood, sweat and tears, your business is worth say $5 million. Under Labor's proposal to effectively double capital gains tax by indexing it to inflation, you would see a 96% increase in the tax you would otherwise pay today. You would pay more tax in Australia than if you set up *three* of these $250k businesses in Canada, NZ and the UK, and them sold them for $15m in total. And we were told by the government more than 50 times before the election that they would not touch CGT or negative gearing. Check out this table summary of the change in total CGT paid @GeoffWilsonWAM

The majority of the profits skimmed by the big four banks from homebuyers goes to foreign shareholders. Every one of these big four so-called ‘Australian’ banks is majority foreign owned. The profits taken from Australian home buyers goes mainly into the pockets of US asset investors. 👉 Re-nationalisation of the Commonwealth Bank is an idea whose time has come.

Barbara Pocock@BarbaraPocock

Big four banks - CBA, NAB, Westpac & ANZ - made a profit of $16.9 bn from owner-occupier home loans in 2025. Over an average 30 yr owner-occupier mortgage these banks make nearly $229,000 in profit. Just over $11,000 in the 1st yr of a new loan, $926 each month or $214 per week.

@GeoffWilsonWAM @JEChalmers I’m sure all the young people in Logan central , Mr Druitt etc are grateful that you are fighting for their right to CGT discounts. I mean, the economy is really working for them in its current iteration. All they have to do is get into the top 10% of earners to reap the gain

Labor’s CGT slaughter of the young coming in next week’s budget by @JEChalmers $10k at 15% pa for 50 years = $10.84 million life’s work. Their inflation-indexed raid? Government seizes $5.23M in tax or double the current tax. This isn’t reform. It’s theft from every aspirational Australian under 40 trying to get ahead. Chalmers is burning the ladder while the boomers are at the top. #BudgetTheft2026 @AlboMP

Jacob Hersant has some very valid points Welcome to Country (or Acknowledgement of Country) at Anzac Day Dawn Services is a relatively recent addition, performed for roughly 3–5 years at major sites as of 2026 (not a long-standing tradition) Now ask yourself honestly When have you seen children at a football Match running in fear over team Booing We a walking into reverse democracy.
The Noticer@NoticerNews

Nationalist activist Jacob Hersant speaks to the media outside court where he and three others are being prosecuted for allegedly booing during the "welcome to country" at an Anzac Day Dawn Service last year. "No one should be jailed for expressing their political views"

Australian Dream? 🏡 Owning a house in Australia has lost all appeal. You instantly become the tax whipping boy for all tiers of broke governments & the RBA inflation punching bag. It's like buying the keys to poverty. Renters cop it by extension too. Might buy a ⛺️ instead.

Abanese is both a liar and a useless POS ... I no longer call him incompetent because that would give him an excuse for the destruction he is imposing on Australia. Instead I believe him to be a immoral, evil, traitor ... he has no loyalty or conscience ... repulsive man. A little baby died last night in Wagga ... Mum and bub living rough ... and it's getting cold ... 6% of Australians die prematurely as a result of being homeless ... I hate the Labor/Greens party ... I hope they rot in hell
