A cop with a stellar record tried to stop a fleeing drug suspect without drawing his gun, and now he faces real prison time. Many of us believe the outcome is unfair. What bothers me more is the nonstop talk on @77WABCradio with zero action. You hosts spend hours criticizing Governor Hochul and soft-on-crime policies. John Catsimatidis regularly mentions his personal friendship with her. Sid and the rest of the lineup have massive reach across New York. Here’s a simple question: Are you even aware that Governor Kathy Hochul has the power to commute or pardon Sgt. Duran so he doesn’t serve any prison time? (The President can only pardon federal crimes, this is a state case.) If you truly believe this is unjust, stop just talking! Use your platform and your relationships to publicly pressure @GovKathyHochul for clemency. John loves talking about “common sense.” Well, this is common sense. Put your influence where your mouth is. Bronx residents who support our police deserve more than talking-head commentary, we deserve real advocacy. Don't just talk - ACT! dear @elonmusk, the administration listens to you on all things tech, data etc. tell me this, why wasnt hotel registrants db's analyzed? i would ve queried all guests by date booked, the news media is saying that the guy booked last april, a year in advance. wow, that wouldve popped out at me, and i wouldve had eyes on him in california a month before the event. im not going to write them all here, but without groks assistance, i can think of at least 100 basic queries to generate candidates to watch out for in advance, etc. single male checked into any hotel within 10 mile radius, duh. to think that this didnt happen, means that the agencies in charge ARE NOT TECH SAVY, and DO NOT UNDERSTAND how to use THE DATA thats at their disposal.
