The DRC government is posing a condition in order to support in the Ebola response in Goma outbreak: AFC must withdraw from Goma before any assistance. Provided for the Ebola response is deeply concerning. This position appears less humanitarian and more political. One must ask: do they genuinely care about the population of Goma, or are they simply seizing an opportunity to score political points? There are areas in life that should never be politicized, and public health is one of them. When people’s lives are at risk, the priority should be saving lives, containing the outbreak, and protecting the population — not advancing political agendas. For the past 14 months, the people of Goma have lived without access to banking services, one of the main sources of their hardship, yet Kinshasa has largely turned a blind eye to their suffering. That reality makes this latest stance even more disappointing. I never imagined our government would sink this low. We must elevate the debate because the world is watching, and our dignity is at stake. Any responsible and mature leadership should focus on one thing above all else: containing this outbreak before it escalates beyond control and becomes a regional or global pandemic. The good news is that Ebola in Goma remains under control. The AFC leadership is working diligently and responsibly to contain the disease and prevent further spread. This is the kind of focus and commitment the population deserves at this critical moment

For the last two days Minembwe is under relentless attacks from the Congo government coalition forces. This is happening while we (AFC) are withdrawing as a sign of good faith to give chance to peace talks. This conflict continues to expose the challenges of the mediation and the importance of impartial diplomacy. As the United States calls on AFC forces to withdraw from liberated areas, questions are increasingly being raised about whether equal pressure is being applied to all actors involved in the conflict. These attacks on Minembwe by the government have fueled concerns of a one-sided mediation. Peace cannot be achieved if international actors condemn one side while remaining silent when the other side escalates military operations. Successful mediation depends on credibility. A mediator must be seen as neutral, fair, and committed to holding all parties accountable under the same standards. When pressure is selectively applied, trust erodes, and parties become less willing to engage sincerely in dialogue. This perception of double standards can deepen divisions and prolong instability rather than encourage compromise. The people of eastern Congo have suffered decades of violence, displacement, and insecurity. What they need now is a balanced peace process that prioritizes civilian protection and addresses the actions of every armed actor equally. If the United States wishes to play a constructive role in resolving the crisis, it must demonstrate consistency in its approach and condemn violations regardless of who commits them. Impartiality is not weakness in mediation — it is the foundation of trust. Without it, even well-intentioned diplomatic efforts risk losing legitimacy in the eyes of those most affected by the conflict. @SecRubio @StateDept @TiborPNagyJr @US_SrAdvisorAF @HouseForeign @HouseForeignGOP @PatrickMuyaya @kayikwambaT @IsokoUSA @CranePrevention @PaulKagame @KagutaMuseveni @Presidence_RDC

FIN.

The drone strike in Mushaki constitutes a grave violation of International Humanitarian Law and raises serious concerns regarding the conduct of the Congolese government. Located approximately 20 miles from Goma and far removed from active frontlines, Mushaki was not an immediate zone of military engagement. The attack resulted in the deaths of 22 civilians and left hundreds more injured, prompting urgent questions about the intentions and strategic objectives behind Kinshasa’s actions. Such conduct reflects a disturbing level of irresponsibility and recklessness that warrants unequivocal international condemnation, alongside calls for accountability on the part of President Félix Tshisekedi. Following the events of March 11, including the killing of a United Nations staff member in Goma by a drone strike, as well as the continuing drone attacks reported in Minembwe and Masisi, there is growing concern over an escalating pattern of violence against civilians and non-combatants. In light of these developments, the United States and the broader international community should adopt a clear and unambiguous position in condemning these actions before the situation deteriorates further. No political or economic considerations, including ongoing mineral agreements with the United States, should place any government or leader above the rule of law and established international norms. We therefore call upon the United States, in its leadership role within this conflict, to uphold higher moral and ethical standards in responding to these violations and in promoting accountability, civilian protection, and adherence to international law. @StateDept @SecRubio @StateDept @US_SrAdvisorAF @HouseForeign @HouseForeignGOP @PatrickMuyaya @kayikwambaT @IsokoUSA @CranePrevention @PaulKagame @KagutaMuseveni @Presidence_RDC @TiborPNagyJr

To justify the Genocide against the Tutsi is to lose your very humanity. There is no way to "explain away" the systematic murder of a people based on their morphology or identity. Calling those massacres "right" isn't an opinion; it is a defense of pure evil. The hypocrisy is what hurts the most. The FDLR; the very group you are supporting; is the same group of genocidaires currently terrorizing and massacring people in eastern DRC. If you truly loved the Congolese people, you wouldn’t be defending the monsters who are destroying their lives today. By making excuses for the FDLR, you are standing hand-in-hand with killers. You aren't just betraying Rwanda's history; you are proving that you don't value African lives at all. It is a shame to the entire continent to see someone justify such cruelty. @WorldpolitPack @BahoNtaganira @SimonCyusa @Fkaniki @Masisi_CD @pmgalance

I’m starting to believe that the Hutus did the right thing in 1994. If Rwandans are happy and proud to protest against a country they don’t belong to, and if they are also happy that Paul Kagame is continuing to kill our fellow Africans, then I believe what the Hutus did was good. 1994 should come again, because no one in Rwanda is stopping or even standing against what Paul Kagame is doing to our fellow Congolese in eastern DRC. That is genocide against the Congolese people.

Absolute truth, top notch analysis. Thank you @jbserugo for elevating the discussion. Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people. Brothers let’s not get distracted, we have an entire community to save. Keep the momentum, our noble goal is within reach.
Jean Baptiste Serugo@jbserugo

🚨 HISTORY IN THE MAKING 🚨 While the world looks away, one voice rose with courage and clarity during the April 20, 2026 peaceful protest in Washington DC before the U.S. State Department. In this powerful address, @Jadondaruhuye1, a proud Congolese #Banyamulenge son, exposes the slow genocide unfolding in #Minembwe: systematic drone bombings on civilians, a deadly blockade starving women and children, and targeted ethnic killings by #FARDC forces, #Burundian troops, and allied militias. He demands an immediate end to the attacks, the opening of humanitarian corridors, and international pressure on Kinshasa to protect its own citizens. This is not propaganda, it is the raw, documented truth of a community facing erasure. When Pro-#Tshisekedi propagandists cannot challenge the message, they attack the messenger. They fabricate doubts about his nationality, digging up old work history in Rwanda, while ignoring that thousands of Congolese have worked across borders due to massive unemployment and instability at home. This changes nothing. #Banyamulenge identity is not something outsiders can easily fake. Within this tight-knit minority community, family ties, lineages, and histories are well-known, including with those #Banyamulenge in #Kinshasa leadership positions. No one in the community denies Jado’s Banyamulenge roots. Minorities recognize their own; impostors get caught immediately. Attacking the speaker only proves they have no answer to the suffering of civilians, the drone strikes, or the blockade. The truth stands alone. Judge this speech by its content: the call to stop bombing Congolese children, lift the siege, and end the persecution. Silence is complicity. Watch. Listen. Share. #MinembweUnderAttack #StopTheGenocide #Banyamulenge #DRC @StateDept @US_SrAdvisorAF @SenateForeign @SecRubio

Fundamental rights in the U.S. are basic civil liberties protected by the Constitution, primarily the Bill of Rights and the Fourteenth Amendment, protecting individuals against government infringement. Equal Protection: The 14th Amendment prohibits states from denying any person equal protection under the law. Those rights are not applicable just domestically, but even abroad. For these fundamental rights The US has used its leverage and when needed engaged in wars across the globe to save people. Today the DRC mineral deal has promoted TRANSACTIONALISM in lieu and place of HUMANISM. It is time for the US to revisit their stance in the DRC conflict based on the values that make the backbone of the US as a Country.
Tibor Nagy@TiborPNagyJr

It's about time for some attention to the suffering of Congo's Tutsis. All focus seems to be on what Rwanda is doing wrong while the DRC's Govt gets a pass. Justice for Congo's Tutsis is a foundational problem which a long-term solution must address! theafricareport.com/415778/congole…

Dear François Nzanga Mobutu, Good evening. I bet your father is turning in his grave, writhing in pain and shame after reading your tweet. He, at least, knew that there are authentic and fully-fledged Congolese Tutsis. He proved it until people like you and others came along and misled him. Do I need to inform you, in case you're unaware, that the people who demonstrated yesterday in Washington DC, roughly 4,000 of them, others the same day in Nairobi, and still others in England shortly before, are Banyamulenge, these Congolese Tutsis from the highlands, who are protesting against what Tshisekedi and the FARDC, the Wazalendo, Évariste Ndayishimiye and the FDNB, as well as the FDLR and mercenaries, are doing to their relatives in Minembwe and throughout the highlands? Their Sukhoi fighter jets and drones bomb daily, killing children, women, the elderly, and men. They destroy homes, churches, schools, hospitals, and community radio stations. They even kill cows and sheep and destroy fields and crops. They have imposed a blockade on Minembwe, with no entry or exit. They have done and are doing the same thing to the Tutsi in Masisi and Rutshuru in North Kivu. Instead of listening to their cries and examining their demands, the excuse is quickly found; the preferred shortcut is Rwanda. Always and only Rwanda. Too easy, isn't it? Your thinking, which is also the regime's narrative, can be summarized in these two sentences: - all the problems facing the DRC come from elsewhere, particularly from Rwanda; we will end up being told that even the migrants are here because of Rwanda. “And all the solutions must come from elsewhere, especially from the United States of America, from Papa Trump.” Under these conditions, what is the point of the regime you serve? Two small truths to remember, dear François: “Such an attitude, this kind of ideology, this denial of nationality to Congolese Tutsis of origin, from North and South Kivu, as well as to all those who are victims of the same persecution, like the Hema and others, this easy rejection based on appearance (racial profiling), are among the root causes of the crisis the country is going through;” “As long as we haven’t decided to be sufficiently responsible, to sit down as a nation and rigorously assess our share (of responsibility) in what is happening to us, we will continue to wait for solutions from others, solutions that may never come.” Furthermore, there are satanic verses that must be banished immediately, in the interest of everyone and the country, such as: "There are no Congolese Tutsis, every Tutsi is Rwandan, therefore a foreigner," etc. Either we will be able to put an end to exclusion, discrimination, hate speech, and ethnic hatred, and live together according to the law and history, or this deep-seated problem risks haunting us for a long time. But to achieve this, we need leadership capable of understanding and transcending differences and turning them into assets for living together. This is possible.
