"Sorry your mom has dementia. So, any plans for this weekend?" Is that how @Verizon and @VerizonSupport teaches their reps to handle customer service? Unbelievable.

@DouthatNYT Killing, sexual morality, and marriage are discussed quite extensively in the Bible and God's teaching on all three is quite clear. There is no ambiguity at all.

The other guys misled you into believing that Jesus was entirely on their political party's side, but as it turns out Jesus is entirely on *my* political party's side. x.com/TeamTalaricoHQ…
Team Talarico@TeamTalaricoHQ

.@JamesTalarico: For 50 years, the religious right convinced our fellow Christians that the most important issues were abortion and gay marriage—two issues that aren't mentioned in the Bible. Jesus tells us exactly how we're going to be judged: by feeding the hungry, by healing the sick, and by welcoming the stranger. Don’t tell me what you believe. Show me how you treat other people, and I’ll tell you what you believe. Jesus gave us two commandments: love God and love neighbor. There was no exception to that second commandment regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, or religious affiliation.

@BasedMikeLee It is impossible because your Republican colleagues do not want to do it. You are never going to get people like Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, or even John Thune to get on board with enforcing a talking filibuster. It's just not going to happen.

Don’t let anyone trick you into thinking that enforcing the Talking Filibuster is impossible or fraught with unmanageable risk It’s neither of those things It takes time, but that’s time well spent if it means we can pass the SAVE America Act

@dawnwitzke @jdflynn An actual pro-life pregnancy center that provides assistance to women is different. I'm talking about advocacy organizations, from the National Right to Life on down. I don't think their actions show that they truly want to eliminate abortion. They want to remain relevant.

@ithizar @jdflynn I work for a pro-life center that will be around whether or not abortion is around because there will always be mom's and dads that need need help.

@FoxNews If they are not going to change the filibuster rules, the promise of a vote is meaningless.

@BasedMikeLee So Thune is mistaken when he says that a rules change *would* be required and that he doesn't have the votes for it? I genuinely do not know who is correct here.

@FrDavidPalmer I agree with you. But I do have a question.... why are those altar girls wearing the vestment color of the day? I have never once seen servers do that.

@dlongenecker1 @FrDavidPalmer Are you seriously arguing that girls serving at the altar at Mass is leading to gender confusion? With all due respect, Father, that is asinine.

@FrDavidPalmer Having separate roles for boys and girls helps to affirm the development of healthy sexual identity in both boys and girls. Blurring the distinctions contributes to gender confusion.

@piersmorgan The Supreme Court has not said they will announce an opinion on tariffs on February 20th. They often save rulings on the most controversial cases until the end of the term. No one actually knows when the decision will come. This is more clickbait from that site.

Good thing Congress has authority (under Article I, Section 4 of the Constitution) to mandate proof of citizenship and ID requirements for federal elections Good thing the House recently passed the SAVE America Act, which would secure our federal elections—even in blue states The Senate must now enforce the Talking Filibuster and pass the SAVE America Act, as passed by the House last week
Wall Street Mav@WallStreetMav

Just about every country on the planet requires proof of citizenship and a photo ID to vote. Republican states require photo ID. Only in Democrat states in the US is this not the case.

@BasedMikeLee I support voter ID. However, voting is a constitutionally protected right. So I believe the government should make provisions to provide that ID at no charge to citizens.

In any other context in which ID is required, imagine the chaos that would ensue if we adopted the argument (currently raised by those opposing the SAVE America Act) that: (1) some people might not have ID, so … (2) no ID should be required

@BlueBoxDave She said she supported it on the condition the filibuster is not changed, which means her support is meaningless. And even if this did past, a court would issue an injunction before the ink was dry and it would never go into effect. This is meaningless.
