I know the irony of saying this having spent a bit of time working in clinical trials... But maybe it actually might sense TODAY to build a new contract research organization today? CROs feel like a place where making an AI native CRO might actually make sense considering > how much sponsors seem to not love their CRO > all biotech companies are looking for lower cost solutions now with the current funding environment > It’s an extremely human capital business that throws bodies at problems that AI could potentially help with significantly > the current cost plus pricing model of CROs means they have no incentive to improve efficiency - certain line items that could easily be automated with LLMs/Voice are large revenue generators for them Now…I spent enough time in clinical trial land to know how hard it is to get sites or sponsors to switch to a new CRO. So maybe the start is new trial site network that uses agents/AI in ops (e.g. EHR<>EDC integrations, all manually data entry, AI scribes during the visit itself + voice calls to answer recruitment inbound) I don't have a good answer here and totally open to being wrong, so I'm curious others thoughts
