Absolutely disgusted with @Emirates. Bought a Business Class ticket on Expedia thinking I was flying a top class airline. At check-in they refused lounge access and treated me like dirt with the rudest staff imaginable. Flying through danger zones already had me worried , i now know why. Emirates is the airline from hell.

Axis has an interesting problem now. For years, Atlas sat in that sweet middle lane. Not too basic. Not too elite. Just right for people who wanted to enter the miles game without jumping straight into super-premium territory. But once Atlas disappeared, that middle lane became empty. Now look at the Axis lineup. On one side, you have Horizon: accessible, practical, and probably the best Axis card for most people today. On the other side, you have Magnus and Magnus Burgundy: powerful cards, yes, but clearly built for a much smaller audience. And between these two? A big gap. That’s where many travellers are stuck now. They want miles. They want transfer partners. They want to slowly build travel value. But they may not qualify for the super-premium cards, or may not want to commit to that fee structure. For that audience, the smarter play may be: Axis Horizon + HSBC TravelOne Together, they don’t replace Atlas perfectly. But they do create a practical bridge for people who still want to play the miles game without entering the Magnus club.

Yesterday, five of us traveled from Nagasandra to Srirampura using the Namma Metro, which cost us ₹300. We then spent another ₹80 on an auto to travel 1.5 km to reach our destination. Imagine paying close to ₹400 just to travel 5–7 km, it's an insane amount. The metro fare is significantly high. Considering the notorious Goraguntepalya traffic jam, we chose the metro, as traveling by cab or bus would have taken at least an extra hour on the road. From what I have read about fare fixation in other cities, metro fares should be no more than 1.5 times the bus fare. A report published in Moneycontrol reiterates the importance of affordable public transport. Poor last-mile connectivity and high metro fares are hurting commuters. It’s high time the Metro board reduces fares, improves last-mile connectivity, and finds alternative ways to generate funds and mobilize resources.
