The biggest winner in the ongoing #Indigo crisis is @makemytrip It first made us book indigo flights.. charged "convenience fee". Then retained their fee when tickets were cancelled by Indigo. 700 rupees made on every ticket! Indigo cancelled some 900 crore worth ticket and MMT ciphoned 80 crore plus in this scheme. Is @DGCAIndia And @jagograhakjago Noticing this giant scam on already rattled customers? Comment if you have experienced this from @makemytripcare too. We need to take action against them.

It's time DMK leaders replace the term Sanatana Dharma with Varnashrama Dharma in their speeches. SD is a way of life. Mahatma Gandhi described himself as a proud Sanatani Hindu. Whenever, a voice is raised in TN against SD, brothers in the North mistake it to be against Hinduism

Corruption is so deeply rooted in India. A friend of mine who works in the MP state government told me that he got promoted in July but is still being paid the same because the accountant hasn’t processed his file. When he asked why, he was told, “Aapko salary badh ke milegi, hamara bhi to kuch dekhiye,”. It has become the norm that you have to pay a bribe just to get your own salary.

@omjasvinMD Appreciate for highlighting the deadly serious issues in Chennai Bypass. Ever since it was built, these issues persist & nothing done to solve it. Also, isn't it high time to Remove all the tolls on the Bypass? Hasn't the contract expired? How long will they keep charging?

NHAI’s Chennai Bypass connecting Madhavaram and Tambaram is a deadly mess as it remains incomplete after two decades, despite a revenue of Rs 1500 crore from two tolls. Chennai’s first intra-city access-controlled corridor — the 32km Chennai bypass — is a deadly mess. Two decades after inauguration, it still doesn’t have proper service lanes. No surprise it clocks 100+ accidents every year. Built for ₹447.43 crore and completed in two phases (2001 and 2011), the bypass links Tambaram and Madhavaram via Porur, Maduravoyal, Ambattur and Red Hills. Even after raking in nearly ₹1,500 crore from the Vanagaram and Surapet toll plazas, key service lanes are missing in Maduravoyal and Porur. In Maduravoyal, the service lane simply ends at the Cooum. There’s no link to get onto the bypass towards Tambaram. Vehicles swing right at MGR University, cross a low-level bridge across Cooum that doubles as a service lane, and rejoin the bypass at Poonamallee High Road. The bridge floods every monsoon, cutting off Nolambur and Mogappair from the bypass. At Vanagaram toll towards Porur, the service lane from Maduravoyal — the one that connects at least 20 interior localities — ends abruptly before the toll. NHAI has built a service lane only on the opposite side, from Porur to Maduravoyal. This forces vehicles heading to Porur to dive left into narrow GCC lanes — Gandhi Nagar Main Road, Thamizh Nagar Third Street or Fifth Street — to reach Porur via the Porur–Maduravoyal Link Road. The whole detour defeats the point of NHAI collecting ₹100 crore annually at Surapet when people can’t use the bypass to reach Porur. This stretch is one of Tamil Nadu’s worst accident hotspots, averaging 140 crashes a year. With no service lane beyond Vanagaram, trucks from Madhavaram heading to Porur take a sudden left into interior streets, while vehicles from the existing Maduravoyal service lane turn right onto the bypass. Likewise, vehicles from Maduravoyal and Ambattur take a U-turn at Vanagaram toll, then another sharp U-turn into the Porur–Maduravoyal service lane, while vehicles from Porur turn right into the bypass. Every manoeuvre is a risk. Land acquired for service lanes beyond the toll lies unused — overgrown, garbage-filled, and without any roadwork. With rising traffic towards Tambaram and more vehicles using the stretch daily, Vanagaram toll is gridlocked during peak hours. Private buses have been ordered by the high court to use the bypass, but without service lanes, they end up picking passengers on the sixth lane of a 100kmph carriageway, making it dangerous for everyone. Local representatives say the Veeranam pipeline running at an elevated level along the bypass is why service lanes weren’t built in parts. Proposals are now in to construct an underpass at Vanagaram to safely divert vehicles to Porur using the opposite-side service lane, and work has reportedly been accepted. A flyover from the Maduravoyal MGR University junction to the bypass across Cooum is also in the pipeline.

I fell ill twice in last few months! How it’s so easy to consult a Doctor through Blinkit! Just order few medicines and they will ask you to upload a prescription and if you don’t have that then they’ll connect you to a General Physician and within a minute a Doctor will call you! You tell your problem and He/She’ll suggest you the medicines and send you a prescription on the app! No extra consultation charges! How fast than going to a Doctor and wait there! It’s so wholesome! Kudos to @blinkit @deepigoyal @albinder

In one of India’s largest ecosystem restoration efforts, the Tamil Nadu Forest Department is reclaiming forests from invasive species and reviving habitats for wildlife to flourish. Already 34,710 hectares have been restored , including 26,735 ha of Lantana camara, 4,685 ha of Prosopis juliflora, 1,327 ha of Wattle, and 1,963 ha of Senna spectabilis. This strengthens native vegetation restoring the right of wild animals to roam freely. With the full removal of Senna spectabilis targeted this year, Tamil Nadu is moving decisively toward ecological renewal. The entire operation is tracked through a dedicated geo-tagged restoration dashboard, ensuring scientific precision at scale #ecosystemrestoration #invasiveremoval @Krish_TNIE @IndianExpress @tnforestdept

Landed in Frankfurt today. @lufthansa sends me an email informing me that they were “unable to load my bag from Bangalore to Frankfurt”. First of all how could you mismanage bags on a straight direct flight? Secondly; thankfully, I saw that email only after picking my bag and checking in at my hotel. This was definitely a first!! 🙄😳
