@ycombinator @cladlabs We applied to YC twice and weren't let in. After seeing this video I now understand why Just went to the store and bought a carton of cigarettes. See you soon YC!

Linux has finally ended the Rust experiment after years. The kernel is in a much better state this way. It seems the critics have finally won.

@jonbeckman you could use hono as the api (it's great) and then just bring in tanstack start for the frontend later but only if you need ssr. if you don't need ssr then you can just use very simple vite/react, maybe: bhvr.dev

Extremely cringe that Langfuse puts up a big banner on their docs pages that they're hiring "Why not come work for us instead of the company that's actively paying us & you to use our tool" Never saw such a strong reason to abandon this ship

I wouldn't say that at all, Langfuse is probably a great place to work at and so are we i think. They'd probably fit right in. I'd be amped for them too Which makes it even worse because 100s of startups like mine are now being shoved this down their throats & a couple of them will probably be directly damaged by it

@websla_sh 1. fair, haven't done it. wouldn't know. 2. this doesn't resonate with me. multi-million dollar company or not, all that matters is their product ... which is software. is it naive to assume that if your employees are leaving over a banner, they're not a right fit anyways?

Thank you for the candid feedback! We are investing in our core platform and expanding the core contributor team. Many community members are unaware that we are a company and that contributing to the OSS project can be a full-time job. To address this, we added a banner with the best intentions to improve Langfuse for everyone by growing the team. If you have any other feedback on the product and how we can make it better for you, please ping me

@mrthomastaylor It's deplorable behaviour to try and poach employees from your own customers Your mindset on this will change instantly 1. When you employ people yourself for your small startup 2. When you start seeing this as a YC backed multi million company vs of a "great piece of software"

@websla_sh Conversely, I see this as a positive sign that I've picked the right solution. If they're hiring, that's positive.
