@NickMinock The irony of the statewide results is that it looks almost exactly like the 6-5 Congressional split we have today, and not the 10-1 that democrats say is “fair.”

That was close. - 51% of Virginians voted yes for Democrats extreme gerrymander of congressional districts. - 49% voted no. The areas shaded in purple voted no. The areas shaded in orange voted yes.

The vote yes campaign is the projected winner, setting up a partisan redraw of Virginia’s 11 congressional districts led by Democrats in Richmond. Although there was heavy voter turnout in red areas, it wasn’t enough to overcome blue Northern Virginia. Story: wjla.com/news/local/urb…

This is astonishing. We have all grown used to hoaxes on college campuses designed to create an image of racism where none actually exists. You know what I mean--a leftist, activist black student secretly writing the "n-word" on his or her own dorm room door and then claiming it signaled rampant racism on campus. Sympathy, support, suspicion on white students and drastic "anti-racist" policies would ensue. But THIS. This is on a whole other level. This is the SPLC making an investment in its own future by funding the very hate groups it claims to oppose. Think about it. Aryan Nation is at best a completely fringe group populated by a relative handful of whacko nutjobs, and without funding their visibility would be zero. But give them $300k, and all of a sudden they have the means to launch media campaigns and generally make themselves look far more important than they are in reality. That $300k was an INVESTMENT by SPLC, as it gave them grounds for their own fundraising. An Aryan Nation chapter with a $300k advertising budget creates promotional opportunities for SPLC where none would exist otherwise. We don't know for sure what the ROI is exactly, but a $300k investment in Aryan Nation could easily raise $1mm in SPLC contributions--a 3x+ return on investment. This is the fake slur on the dorm room door on warp drive, except instead of garnering sympathy it garners cold hard cash from gullible donors. This is race baiting at a whole other level. It's a sort of fraud, and worst of all it's promoting racism, antisemitism and bigotry in America--the very things SPLC pretends to oppose. This is one of the most despicable things imaginable.

🚨HAPPENING NOW: Justice Department announces indictment against Southern Poverty Law Center ("SPLC"). Our indictment alleges SPLC secretly funneled MORE THAN $3 MILLION in funds to members of white supremacist and extremist groups.

@Hokie20121207 @JonathanTurley I'm the opposite - lived in NY and moved to VA. I've heard way more N-words, negative racial comments, and more willingness to stereotype since I moved down here. Either way, yeah no tax-exemption for the Rebs.

Tax exemption should not be a status bestowed upon those adhering to the demands of whatever party is in power. Virginia will now spend additional money to fight for the right to discriminate against those who have opposing views in the state. jonathanturley.org/2026/04/18/spa…

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has posted a video of a U.S. warship making a broadcast on marine VHF channel 16 to ships about the blockade of Iran: "The U.S. has announced a formal blockade of Iranian ports and coastal areas. This is a legal action. All vessels are advised to immediately return to port if leaving and discontinue transit to Iran if that is your next port of call. Do not attempt to breach the blockade. Vessels will be boarded for interdiction and seizure transiting to or from an Iranian port. Turn around or prepare to be boarded. If you do not comply with this blockade, we will use force. The whole of the United States Navy is ready to force compliance. Out." Marine VHF 16 is the international hailing channel for ships at sea.

When we first moved to Virginia 10 years ago, a lot of people warned me about how we'd be treated if we lived 'south of the river.' At the time, I didn't get it (and you know me, I didn't really care), but with this redistricting bit, I'm finally seeing it. There is absolutely a divide in Virginia. There is the heart and soul of the state, the people who have lived here for generations. And then there are the people who moved here after ruining their own states with their blue policies. And now, those same people are trying to destroy what's left of the Commonwealth, while insisting rural Virginia is out of luck. 'LAND DOESN'T VOTE,' they declare. They're fine with handing the Commonwealth over to politicians in D.C. like Hakeem Jeffries, because Virginia is not their home. They have no loyalty to this amazing state, where our country began. And it shows. So, it's up to us rednecks in rural Virginia to save her. I believe we can do it... I just need you to believe we can. Show up. Please. Vote NO.

I lived in Hungary for several years under the Orbán dictatorship. The funny thing was, people could and did say whatever came into their heads, protests were held in front of the parliament, there was a gay cruise bar down the road and Orbán held elections. And yet, the country was a dictatorship. Whereas in the UK, people tend to be distinctly guarded and if they do say the wrong thing very publicly, they get locked up. And yet, it's a free country. Once you understand that words can mean whatever we want them to mean, it begins to make sense.

And if anyone disagrees then they're stupid, or a liberal or ignorant, some moronic or racist or sexiest term because its easier to name call and insult then defend your opinion with facts cause most cant

Some ppl are juat evil, Leftists have absolutely no theory of mind for fundamental human nature. No, prison doesnt "solve" that problem. Its not meant to. Its meant to administer justice and punish criminals, and to physically remove the kind of scumbags who murder ppl. If you want to do whatever research you wish to exonerate these ppl and explain all the social reasons for why they're murderous pieces of shit, youre free to do so. But that nonsense should not in any way get in the way of locking these scumbags up for multi decade sentences, at a minimum.

The plight of Indigenous Women in Canada is such a perfect example of how modern Leftist thought has no ability to think past 1st order effects and why its all about feeling virtuous over actually solving problems. We often hear about "murdered and missing indigenous women" and how they get killed at much higher rates than other Canadians, and that these women rarely get justice. The subtext is always that, somehow, the reason for this injustice is some mix of "colonization", "the patriarchy " or "white supremacy". We often hear how bad society is because of this, and how we need to "do better", "check our privilege", and that this is somehow a failing of all of society. Now at the same time, there has long been a push to address indigenous overrepresenation in prisons, and the solution the Leftists have landed on is the Gladue Rule becoming embedded in the justice system, which requires the court to consider the effects of residential schooling, racism and other factors when deciding sentencing on indigenous ppl found guilty of crimes. In theory, this could be considered an admirable attempt. In practice, what it means is simply that indigenous ppl who commit crimes will almost always be sentenced to significantly less time than anyone else. But heres the kicker; between 70-80% of murdered and missing indigenous women are killed by Indigenous men. And then these men are giving ridiculously light sentencing BECAUSE they're indigenous, denying the victims justice. The Crown in this story asked for 16 years for this man shooting his wife in her sleep. He was given 6 years, he'll serve 3. So the injustice against Indigenous women is in large part CAUSED by Leftist attempt to address it. Its a classic example of modern Leftism being so far up their own asses they're pontificating to the rest of society about a problem that THEY THEMSELVES are causing. Modern Leftism is not capable of solving actual social problems, it's simply a way for privileged bourgeoisie white liberals to virtue signal about their moral goodness at cocktail parties while the marginalized ppl they claim to champion continue to bear the brunt of their shallow and superficial political activism.
