What diminishes that moment is seeing it turned into a political sideshow, with a president joking about whether to invite the women’s team and an FBI director posing with beers as though he earned a spot on the ice, all funded by taxpayers. It takes away from the athletes’ achievement and frankly feels embarrassing.

Any censure motion must be comprehensive. We reiterate our call on all congressional leaders, especially @SpeakerJohnson, to break their silence, condemn Randy Fine, demand his resignation, and support a motion to censure him.
