With the trust and confidence reposed in, Pakistan shall continue its earnest efforts for negotiated settlement of conflict. Tonight we will take another vote to end Trump's disastrous Iran war. Republicans will oppose it. They will spend today trying to distract you (like pretending they've never heard of sarcasm). Trump's war is making Iran more powerful. That's a disaster. And Republicans want to talk about anything other than their blind support for a war that is ruining our economy, setting the world on fire, giving Iran control of the Strait, and drawing Iran/Russia/China closer together. They could stop this war now. But they won't. So they throw up obviously disingenuous smoke screens.

Last summer, I introduced the Persian Gulf Act after Trump threatened to rename it. Today, Pete Hegseth referred to it as the Arabian Gulf. The Persian Gulf has been recognized as such by international bodies for centuries. Trump and Hegseth can’t change that now.

Enraging. The conditions inside these for-profit detention centers are abysmal. I’ve seen it for myself. My Stop Inhumane Conditions in ICE Detention Act will force accountability and transparency in a system that currently has no oversight. Congress must pass this bill.
