It was a great honor and privilege to meet with the ambassadors of European countries together with the U.S. Ambassador for monitor and Combating Antisemitism, Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun @StateSEAS, to discuss the rising antisemitism in Europe. The arson attack at a Rotterdam synagogue is just the latest in a string of attacks on Jewish houses of worship this week. Jewish communities will not be intimidated by such horrific acts of violence, and I am thankful for the swift response by local police.
The United States stands against antisemitism and this fundamental threat to our religious freedom.

Today I had the great privilege of speaking to Ambassador Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun of the United States, and President Trump’s Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism.
We discussed the urgency for governments around the world to be proactive in developing strategies and providing the necessary resources to eradicate antisemitism.
We also spoke about the recent shootings at three synagogues here in the GTA, and agreed to continue the conversation on how our government, led by Premier @FordNation, can work collaboratively to combat antisemitism, by finding common strategies, and by reaffirming a clear message: hate of this kind has absolutely no place anywhere in the world.

Three Toronto-area synagogues have been the subject of targeted shootings since Purim. The threat of antisemitism in Canada is far deadlier than what can be solved by statements and proclamations. Canada's government must live up to its most basic responsibility to protect Jewish communities.
