It is disappointing to see a Representative make a statement that broadly generalizes millions of people and their experiences. THIS IS HORIFFIC Shocking French child abuse scandal: Criminal investigations now span 114 Paris nurseries and schools after children as young as three were allegedly raped, beaten, starved and locked in rooms by staff paid to protect them. The cases cover 84 nursery schools, around 20 primary schools and 10 crèches across all 20 arrondissements of the capital. At Paul-Dubois nursery alone, one youth worker faces 15 formal complaints. At Saint-Dominique nursery, 16 staff members (aged 18-68) were arrested in coordinated raids on 20 May. Paris City Hall has suspended 78 municipal employees, 31 of them on suspicion of sexual violence. At least one monitor is already in pre-trial detention. Paris chief prosecutor Laure Beccuau confirmed three formal judicial investigations have been opened. Mayor Emmanuel Grégoire has apologised and announced a €15.8 million emergency reform package with stricter vetting and inspections.
